The Manager is a leadership position overseeing the activities of a specified Work-study Degree Programme (WSDeg Prog) where the incumbent contributes both as an individual contributor and to oversee a small team.

The team is responsible to ensure that internship opportunities are aligned to NTU’s learning outcome; and students can benefit from the learning experience to become more job ready.

Responsibilities

Programme and Facilitation Management (OJT)

• Design, develop and provide WSDeg Prog within respective responsible school programme area in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders; and in accordance to NTU curriculum development guidelines.
• Facilitate between industry partners and NTU faculties to constantly review the WSDeg Prog curriculum (incl related academic curriculum).
• Responsible for all aspects of WSDeg Prog according to assigned college and/or schools.

• Develop and make plans to look for new OJT opportunities from current and new employers to recruit NTU students.

• Collaborate with Team Lead to plan and develop suitable WSDeg Prog initiatives with respective schools to reinforce workplace experiential learning; and help in organizing the team to realize the agreed plan.

Research project: Connecting within-host viral dynamics with the epidemiology of COVID-19: a multiscale computational infrastructure

In this project, we aim to develop a multiscale modeling framework and computational infrastructure to connect within-host viral dynamics and between-host transmission dynamics. The multiscale model will help address key epidemiological and public health questions which could not be answered by classic (single scale) approaches. Specifically, we plan to develop and calibrate the multiscale model for SARS-CoV-2 and assess effect of intervention (e.g., antiviral treatment) on epidemiological dynamics.

This project is led by Keisuke Ejima, an Assistant Professor at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University.

The Research Fellow primarily leads the project under supervision of PI in the areas of collecting clean data, reviewing literatures, lead model development, lead data analyses, leading the manuscript writing and other areas of the project support.

Candidates should have a PhD degree in a quantitative field, such as data science, computational biology, mathematics, computer science, (bio)statistics, or related field. The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Project Officer to manage research data, code, and outputs for the ‘Integrating Volcano and Earthquake Science and Technology (InVEST) in Southeast Asia’ project, a 5-year project that aims to provide a holistic understanding of regional tectonics, volcanoes, the linkages between the two, and their cascading hazards and impacts in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

The Fund Accounting Manager is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees, leading a variety of fund valuation activities in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The mission of the Function Controller comprises 3 roles:

⮚ The main job scope of the Function Controller is to monitor and improve the operating costs of the relevant Functions Activities in Singapore, and to provide decision support to Management. Your Role: You will be a core support role both in the lead up to and onsite delivery of the show.

• Support the Event Operations and Commercial Operations Leads with pre-show and onsite planning and delivery.
• Management of the exhibition floor pre-show and onsite, including but not limited to stand plan management, delivery for turnkey stand packages, support with floor plan management liaising with the Venue, General Contractor and other exhibition contractors such as Health & Safety Floor Managers and Exhibitor Contractors.
• Oversee sponsor onboarding, including pre-show and onsite support, information and logistics and focussing on providing an excellent experience for sponsors.
• Mailbox management: efficiently manage the inbound and outbound messages through the assist mailbox, ensuring timely and organised handling of incoming messages, in alignment with company policies demonstrating a high level of customer service.
