Job Summary:
The Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in defining, developing, and implementing advanced solutions for data analytics infrastructure and cloud services. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to provide scalable, sustainable, and innovative solutions. The Solutions Architect will work across various teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture and Design: Develop, maintain, and promote blueprints, roadmaps, and reference architectures for data analytics infrastructure and services. Analyze new business requirements and architect solutions while managing delivery through acquisition or change control processes. Enhance cloud capabilities by designing and implementing reusable cloud application patterns. Drive strategies for migrating applications and workloads to the cloud. Collaborate with business leads and system owners to understand requirements and identify suitable architectural patterns.
Cloud and Data Operations: Develop and maintain cloud automation playbooks for managing and scaling containers, hosts, and cloud services. Ensure compliance of cloud resources with industry standards and best practices. Provide technical support to resolve application-to-platform integration issues for PaaS and IaaS services. Research and propose solutions for AWS data transformation, operational frameworks, and application integration.
Documentation and Collaboration: Create and maintain architectural templates and operational documents in collaboration with lead architects and engineers. Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to develop service catalogues. Engage in vendor management to ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and architecturally aligned.
Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Employ data acquisition tools and real-time processing to create advanced analytics solutions. Utilize data modeling techniques for analytics (e.g., star and snowflake schemas). Incorporate machine learning, data visualization, and event-driven architectures into solutions. Work with advanced reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, OBIEE) to deliver interactive dashboards and reports.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data warehouse and advanced analytics solutions.
Technical Expertise:
Databases: Proficiency with Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, MySQL, Teradata, and Databricks.
Data Repositories: Experience with operational data stores, dimensional data stores, data marts, and data lakes.
Programming Languages: Advanced skills in SQL, NoSQL, Python, and R.
Data Tools: Expertise with ETL tools, data quality tools, and change data capture.
Visualization Tools: Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, and OBIEE.
Data Analytics Models: Familiarity with data mining, predictive analytics, and healthcare analytics.
Cloud Knowledge (AWS):
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms and managed services.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architecture, microservices, and managed databases.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in setting up load balancers, virtual networks, and virtual servers.
- Expertise in identity and access management, including integration with Active Directory.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect) are a plus.
