This project aims to generate gene expression, metabolic and phenotypic atlases for ten of the major monocot crops, including Brachypodium distachyon (model crop for monocot). The candidate will cooperate closely with a research fellow to establish stress experiment protocols for the different monocot crops and then isolate RNA and metabolites from these crops. The RNA will be used to study gene expression changes, while the metabolite extracts will be used to identify and quantify the metabolite levels. Physiological changes will be measured with high throughput phenotyping equipment, which you will help design and buold. Thus, this multidisciplinary project will expose the PO/Tech to multiple topics, such as responses of crops to abiotic stress, gene expression analysis, and specialized metabolism.

• Assigned at designated counters in the Casino to attend to the needs and requests of guests, e.g. application of Genting Rewards membership, rewards redemption, booking / amendment of attractions, hotels, restaurants, limousine and flights, and booking of facilities within / outside of RWS etc.
• Actively address guest feedback on their experiences to improve and enhance customer satisfaction
• Familiar with all campaigns, promotions and events in order to provide accurate and up-to-date information to guests
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements, e.g. Membership, Casino Entry Levy, Ticketing and High Limit Gaming Area processes

Requirement

• Diploma in Business or Marketing with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Possess strong communication and customer service skills with relevant experience from the hospitality or service industry
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin to handle English and Mandarin speaking guests, additional knowledge of Asia regional languages (e.g. Bahasa Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, and Korean) will be advantageous to handle guests from the respective regions

Job Scope (Responsibilities):

• Process custom declaration and bill of lading
• Manage shipment arrangement for cargo clearance for delivery by air and sea freight
• Prepare and check import shipment documents
• Ensure proper coordination between warehouse staff, sales staff, shipping agents, oversees counterparts & vendors
• Work in a small team, covering all aspects of the forwarding process
• Basic admin duties such as billing, costings, and payment follow up
• Liaising with colleagues in Japan and Vietnam for shipping query
• On/ off-sites inventory stock take
• Support strategic purchasing request

Requirements:

• Passion in shipping coordination duties and a keen eye for detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data entry
• Minimum 1-3 years working experience
• Experience in a shipping/ freight forwarding/ logistics industry an added advantage
