About the Job

The Cybersecurity Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the university’s cybersecurity architecture. This role involves developing security strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and protecting the university’s digital assets from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

What You Will be Doing

• Security Architecture DesignDevelop and maintain the university’s cybersecurity architecture roadmap in line with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  Design secure network and system architectures to support high availability and scalability.
  
• Risk Assessment and ManagementConduct regular security assessments and threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment of new applications, systems, and services.
  
• Implementation and IntegrationLead the deployment of security solutions, including firewalls, SIEMs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection tools.
  Oversee the integration of security measures into DevOps pipelines and cloud-based systems.
  
• Compliance and GovernanceEnsure cybersecurity architecture aligns with regulatory requirements (e.g., PDPA, MAS TRM) and SUSS’s internal policies.

Job Requirements

• Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  
• Experience:At least 10 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity roles, with a minimum of 3 years in a cybersecurity architecture or similar leadership role.
  Proven experience designing and implementing secure network and system architectures.
  
• Technical Skills:In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
  Expertise in network security, cloud security (AWS/Azure), application security, and identity and access management (IAM).
  Hands-on experience with security tools like firewalls, SIEMs, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management systems.
  Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform).
  
• Certifications:Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF, or AWS Certified Security Specialist are highly desirable.
  
• Soft Skills:Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Semiconductor Wafer Processing industries
• Willing to regularly travel to Asia countries (1-2 times per month), and less frequent travel to facilities in France and the US may also be required (1-2 times per year)
