KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Sr. Integration Engineer, you are accountable for:

· Conduct the successful integration and the test of incremental software releases for systems and/or subsystems, in accordance with the schedule set by the Technical Leads and WPM

· Manage and/or contribute to the setup of environments to facilitate the integration, testing and acceptance activities required by the program. Provide instruction on the setup of environments to support validation activities.

· Define and/or contribute to testing activities across multiple platforms (regression, interface, simulation scenarios and test tools) to support project milestones and deadlines

· Able to analyse System/Subsystem technical and functional issues, ensuring they are identified early, captured fully and logged according to internal processes.

· To collaborate with System, Subsystem and Infrastructure teams to ensure that the integration activities are in line with the design and specifications

· Output documentation and engineering artefacts (E.g. System Integration Test Documentation) with the expected level of compliance (functional, performance, robustness, security and quality) that are aligned with internal configuration management processes.

· Produce scripts in order to automate system administration tasks.

· Manage and/or implement test & measuring tools used for system performance, loading and response-time assessment

· Provide technical support to junior integrators and the V&V teams

· Support Technical Leads and WPM through:

o Making recommendations on strategies to improve performance or productivity

o Identify risks, and proposing effective solution early and executing mitigation actions

o Providing input into the planning and coordination of program integration activities

· Work directly with the customer and internal integration training (as required)

· Identify risks, and propose effective solutions; execute mitigation actions and report on outcomes / cost savings and residual risks

· Authoring and/or reviewing documentation and documentation updates

· Promote knowledge sharing ensuring that work is captured sufficiently for re-use across projects

· Following Thales processes and practises and contribute to their improvement

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

Qualifications

· Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or relevant experience

Essential Experience

· 5 years minimum experience holding similar positions integrating complex software-centric real-time systems

· Ability to understand the structure of and troubleshoot Virtualisation Platforms/Operating Systems (Clients/Servers): 3+ years

o Linux/Unix Operating Systems, SNMP Services, RSYSLOG

o Windows Operating systems

o VMWare

• Scripting: Python, Shell, XML: 3+ years

· DevOps and Automation Tools: Ansible, Jenkins

· Configuration Management: GIT (Bitbucket), JIRA

• Cybersecurity: LDAP, AD, PKI

· Network Protocols and technologies: SNMP, UDP, TCP, IP

• Debugging tools e.g. Wireshark

· Infrastructure monitoring tools

· Aptitude to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary integrated team environment with colleagues based in remote sites or other countries.

· A positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.

· Ability to effectively communicate complex engineering issues and concepts both verbally and written - tailored appropriately for the stakeholder

· Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Desirable:

• Programming Languages: Java, C++

· Site integration and deployment experience

· Knowledge of networks and network configuration / exposure to distributed systems

· Work experience in integrating large projects, preferably ATC-related (Military of Civilian).

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Brand & Marketing team in new store openings, new product launches and marketing-related events and activities.
• Assist in preparation of outlets' collateral requirements and dissemination.
• Copywriting and vetting for communication materials, online channel management and website updates.
• Work with appointed agencies and assist Senior Executive to manage the brand's social media platforms.

First stage: Project Coordinator

• Work closely with the project manager to assist in planning, developing and implementing R&D or customer-related projects.
• Assist to identify key stakeholders and required resources, evaluate technical solutions.
• Closely monitor critical actions and escalate issues proactively to project manager for removal of project barriers.
• Maintain documents associated with the scope of new projects, objectives, processes and outcomes.

Second stage: Project Manager

• Take a leadership role in the implementation of new projects by setting up project plans, tracking action items, coaching engineers, and providing regular guidance to ensure project success.
• Identify potential problems and establish contingency plans based on risk assessments.
• Take lead on project kick-off and regular meetings, assign team member’s actions, coordinate resources as required till action closed.
• Allocate resources of software and hardware departments to effectively solve the problem along the projects.

Third stage: Senior Project Manager

• Manage large, complex projects that align with global business strategy.
• Proactively explore and identify opportunities for collaboration across multiple stakeholders, help define the business strategy and drive the success of the project execution.
• Motivate the teams to make them work effectively together.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or above, in Computer Science, Electronic Engineer, Communication Engineering, Automation, or other related disciplines.

2. Proficiency in one script language at least, C/C++/Python/Matlab, etc.

3. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese counterpart.

Responsibilities:

Work with Product Owners, internal engineering team and Product Principals to oversee and co-ordinate the operation of various endpoint management tools, including:

1. Windows Autopilot
2. Intune
3. Application control
4. Scripting and automation
5. Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
6. Microsoft Graph API

• Co-ordinate with Central ICT Infra teams to operate the on-prem components of the above platforms.
• Oversee a team of Ops Engineers to manage the change, release, incident, problem management processes.
• Ensure timely handling of requests and queries.
• Lead incident response and recovery by analysing the root cause and submission of RCA report.
• Drive improvement in operation effectiveness by implementing the monitoring and alerting tools.
• Document the requirement and specification to address the needs for all Public Service agencies

Mandatory Requirements:

• Exam: Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, for demonstrating the skills and knowledge of endpoint management and security using Microsoft 365 tools and services.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting

Additional Skillset(s) (Good to have):

• Prior experience in developing Windows desktop applications using C#, .NET
• Familiar with developing ServiceNow workflows
• Endpoint monitoring and observability for infrastructure reliability using tools such as NexThink, Riverbed, Dyatrace...etc

Additional 2 or more certifications (at least one from each group):

Group 1

1. DevOps Institute: Site Reliability Engineering Foundation or Site Reliability Engineering Practitioner, for demonstrating the skills and knowledge of applying DevOps principles and practices to the endpoint engineering process
2. ITIL 4 Foundation Certification, for demonstrating the skills and knowledge of the ITIL framework and best practices for ITSM.
3. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)

Group 2

1. Exam MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator: deploys and manages Microsoft 365 and performs Microsoft 365 tenant-level implementation and administration of cloud and hybrid environments
2. Exam AZ-104: Configure, manage, secure, and administer key professional functions in Microsoft Azure.
3. Exam AZ-140: Plan, deliver, manage, and monitor virtual desktop experiences and remote apps on Microsoft Azure for any device.
4. UiPath Certified Professional Automation Developer Associate or PL-500 Microsoft Certified: Power Automate RPA Developer Associate

Requirements:

• Comfortable with a 5-year direct contract (with perm benefits)
• At least 5 years of experience in the above domain areas
