Position Overview:

The Operations & Commercial Effectiveness Senior Manager will report directly to the General Manager of Asia Pacific to execute sales strategies that deliver results aligned with the commercial plan and manage operations and channel management. Collaborate effectively with functions such as sales, marketing, finance, commercial operations, IT and HR to anticipate challenges and remove obstacles to enable commercial impact.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct annual strategic planning to analyze sales regions and territories
• Work with APAC Leadership Team to liaison between commercial operations, sales, marketing, comm ops, finance and all other internal functions impacting the commercial team in driving and fulfilling the following responsibilities:
  • Help identify and deliver on the needs of the commercial organization to successfully drive initiatives
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with APAC GM with Commercial Leaders and Distributors
  • Manage monthly and quarterly business reviews, coordinate with stakeholders and ensure follow through with key initiatives that impact commercial strategy
• Partner with APAC Commercial Leaders in monitoring and increasing the sales force engagement though recognition, incentives, and surveys
• Assess current distribution & 4PL strategy and execute channel optimization projects in key markets by assessing margins and J&J network to ensure infrastructure supports strategy
• Conduct quarterly distribution reviews with stock and sales analysis and implement good distribution practices
• Ensure distribution/channel contracts and contracts with external parties and vendors are up to date
• Execute key channel/operations projects like the Korea J&J model
• Collaborate with Aachen/US counterparts to implement a long-term APAC supply and operations process
• Provide relevant analytics to the commercial team to guide strategic commercial plan

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required, Masters in related field or MBA preferred
• 10+ years of high-performance experience in the medical device cardiovascular space
• 5+ years of management experience of a field commercial team preferably within Abiomed
• Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders internal and external
• Demonstrated critical thinking in fast paced environment
• Ability to exercise judgment in selecting, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

Job Summary

The Genomics lab is looking for a Research Scientist, whose main focus is to develop NGS workflow for academic and clinical research service, and train technical personnel, leading to the implementation of these new workflow in a commercial service lab environment. The appointment holder is expected to have advanced degree with working experience in NGS technologies. The ideal candidate would be well-balanced between having the discipline to work in a commercial service laboratory environment, and a passion for translating innovative, newly developed laboratory tests for commercial implementation.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the molecular assay development and validation efforts in a commercial service lab setting.
• Demonstrate hand-on leadership to successfully implement NGS service workflow in the commercial service laboratory.
• Design, plan and execute validation tests, establish QC criteria, write validation plan and report.
• Lead the SOP writing and technology transfer to the operations team.
• Propose and implement process improvements and EQA.
• Work closely with other Scientists and Product Managers to provide scientific inputs related to company products and testing services.
• Support other commercial activities as required.

Desired Skills & Competencies

• PhD. in related Science background with 1 – 2 years’ experience in molecular biology or related field.
• MSc. in related Science background with 3 – 5 years’ experience in molecular biology or related field.
• Demonstrated independent research & development work in a molecular biology lab setting.
• Strong understanding and working experiences on NGS technologies is highly desirable.
• Experience in developing and implementing new molecular assays in a commercial service laboratory is an added advantage.
• Experience in single cell sequencing will be added advantage.
• Be a ‘hands-on’ person who welcomes challenges, works independently or as part of a team, and can communicate effectively at all levels.

Job Requirements:

• Possess Post Graduate Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree / Professional Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
