Responsibilities:
1) RTO shall be in charge of C&S, M&E and Architectural Works (including ID) for this project
2) To carry out the duty as Resident Technical Officer as per the Building Control Act (Chapter 29), upon issuing of permit to carry out structural works by BCA till the completion of structural works at site.
3) Monitor contractors' daily activity, site progress, schedule and safety on site.
4) Carry out administrative works and other duties as required by QP/Superintending Officer/Consultant/Employer.
5) Review and check all the drawings, specifications, and to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the approved plans/drawings.
6) Highlight discrepancies, feedback site progress and non-conformances/irregularities to QP/Consultants/Employer.
7) Assist in reviewing of contractor's method statements and working procedures and assure contractor followed on site.
8) Prepare lists of defects, monitor the progress of rectification works and ensure all the defects are satisfactorily rectified.
9) Ensure that all the construction works have complied with statutory requirements.
10) Review all project drawings (including working drawings, shop drawings, authority submission drawings and as-built drawings) and specifications including architectural works, and raise any discrepancies and / or possible problems before the ACMV, Plumbing & Sanitary, Electrical, Fire Protection System, ID and architectural work commences on site and progressively throughout the entire course of the project
11) Submission of weekly RTO report for the completed C&S, Archi/ID and M&E works, which shall highlight the progress or any quality issues
12) Attend site meetings and site walks with Owner and consultants
13) Administer the Safety Management System and conduct periodic inspections on the provision of safety measures together with the Contractor’s site safety supervisor or Contractor representative to ensure that the Contractor complies with the Safety requirements
14) Check on site quality of works, materials and samples delivered to site, take measures to rectify any non-compliance and report to Superintending Officer / Consultant / Qualified Person on any materials that are not conforming to the specifications
15) Ensure that the contractors carry out their work in compliance with Codes of Practices and requirements of authorities and government agencies
16) Observe and comply with site safety, submit all reports as directed, and ensure that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner
17) Supervision of all C&S, Archi/ID and M&E works as required under the project and mandated under the Building Control Act & Regulations
18) Monitor the progress of work and certify contractor monthly progress claim according to actual work done on site
19) Contract Period: 12 months with option to extend on a monthly basis
Requirements:
· Diploma holder or higher in C&S discipline
· Must be experienced in reviewing C&S and Architectural Works (including ID)
· Min. 5 years of experience as RTO on local projects of structural works of at least 4 stories superstructure and with basements
· Must have experience in both reinforced concrete, prestressed and steel structures
· Must have experience in piled foundation projects
· Good communication skills
· Accreditation of C&S RTO Certificate by IES
· Required experience in supervision work for structural works
(Additional Preferred Requirements)
· Diploma / NCCS holder or higher in C&S discipline
· Must be experienced in reviewing M&E works
· Min. 5 years of experience as RTO on local projects for clubs, restaurants, function rooms, commercial projects etc
· Experience in ACMV, Plumbing & Sanitary, Electrical and Fire Alarm System, ID projects
· Good communication skills
· Accreditation of M&E RTO Certificate by IES
· Required experience in supervision work for chilled water system, electrical system, fire protection system, plumbing and sanitary works
Working Hours
· shall be from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm Mondays to Fridays (inclusive of one hour lunch break) and on Saturdays, from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm (4 working hours).
· In view of the nature of your work, you may be required to work beyond the hours stipulated as and when required.
Gratuity
· There will be no gratuity for this employment contract
