Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Quantity Surveying and Contract Administration.

• Request / sources for quotations from sub-contractors / suppliers.

• Prepare tender and contract documentation including collection and checking for completeness of documents.

• Prepare and analyze costing for tenders.

• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

• Handle and closing of tender for submission.

• Assist in preparing payment certificates.

• Prepare and submit progress claim and variation orders.

• Keep track on payment claim status to ensure it is on path with construction works

• Compile full set of measurement for Final Account Submission.

• Assist in monthly monitoring actual cost versus budget.

• Liaise with Clients, Consultants, Sub-contractors, Suppliers and relevant authorities etc.( both work done and claim)

• Prepare FIRST draft of procurement list

• Prepare FIRST set of material sample board

• Procure construction material & award of respective trade to sub-contractor

• Review construction subcontracts between company and subcontractors including general and special terms and conditions, requisitions, specifications and drawing, procedures.

• Site visit and attend site meeting, if applicable.

Job Description

· Manage design/cost budgeting through slick and creative designs

· Create high quality products with excellent creativity and technicality

· Work with internal/external stakeholders to ensure Industrial Design objectives are balanced with overall project objectives & quality of products delivered

· Develop physical prototypes to test and validate ideas

Job Requirement

· Minimum Diploma in Industrial Design/Product Design

· Minimum 3 years' experience working in an Industrial Design/Design Engineer/Product Design role

· Experienced in both the design and technical (mechanical/ engineering) aspects of products

· Conceptual & strategic thinker with strong analytical & problem solving skills

· Well versed in Solidworks Design Software

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review Contract documents, forecast, and budgeting procurement.
• Cost Planning, estimation and measurement of quantities.
• Project procurement and Cost Control reporting.
• Monitoring and submission of Cash Flow and analysis.
• Evaluate and assess contractor’s progress claims, variation claims, and final accounts.
• Contract administration and coordination with various stakeholders to ensure efficient and timely delivery of assignments and submissions.
• Analyze tender submissions and make recommendations based on project life cycle cost, quality, and project requirements.
• Involvement in the sourcing, invitation, and monitoring of the timeline for evaluation of suppliers’ submissions.
• Ability to run projects within budget and schedule.
• Need to have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Provide expert advice and skills to the projects.
• Take ownership of projects handled and all related works.
• Any relevant ad-hoc duties assigned.

JOB COMPETENCY (QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE)

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the building/construction industry.
• Must be familiar with the contract.
• Knowledge of Contract Law or Construction law will be an added advantage.
• Independent, proactive, resourceful, result-oriented, and with a good eye for details.
• Able to work independently.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good interpersonal relationship and leadership skills.
• Experience in Interior Fit-Out QS works will be an added advantage.
