The Principal DevOps Manager, DDS shall drive the implementation of digitalization strategy for Group Technology and Networks which aims to loosen the IT architecture, increase organisational agility and enable an API driven digital ecosystem for our Network capabilities.

His/her main responsibility is to lead and deliver the strategic vision of Network As A Service (NaaS) which include various key building blocks such Network Service Bus, Service Orchestration and Service Assurance initiatives. This will include responsibilities such as building up the internal software and platform delivery teams, advocating new technology adoption, product ownership, project management and operation service management for NaaS.

He/she shall also define the technical architecture for NaaS with alignment to the Enterprise Architecture team and explore new technologies in software development and automation, cybersecurity and cloud computing (hybrid/multi/edge) for incorporation into the solution/architecture for NaaS. In addition, he/she shall manage and align the various teams/stakeholders including top management to remove roadblocks and gather support to ensure the delivery of the various key building blocks for NaaS is cost effective, timely and secure.

Lastly, he/she is also in charge of the operational excellence for the components of NaaS that are in production. He/she shall ensure that these components are operating reliably in accordance to the networks service level agreement with proactive monitoring and reporting.

Make an Impact by

• Define the technical architecture for the various key components in NaaS with alignment to the Enterprise Architecture team. This also includes oversee the compliance of the various components to meet the agreed high availability, performance and security requirements.
• Research and explore new technologies in software development and automation, cybersecurity and cloud computing (hybrid/multi/edge) for incorporation into the solution/architecture for NaaS to achieve continuous improvement of the platforms/services/products.
• Manage and align the various teams/stakeholders including top management to ensure the delivery of the various key building blocks for NaaS.
• Aligning with other internal teams within the organization to ensure that solutions are designed with customer user experience, scale/performance, security and operability in mind.
• Oversee the operation service management for the components of NaaS that are in production by ensuring that these components are operating reliably in accordance to the networks service level agreement with proactive monitoring and reporting.
• Manage the change management by ensuring that the software releases are aligned and following the organization’s internal change management and software release and deployment process. This includes using automation to improve the frequency and quality of the software release cycle.
• Manage the incident management by facilitating and leading the troubleshooting or root cause analysis of platform issues or incidents with own teams and other internal teams. This includes managing the cyber security incidents and the patch management for the various platforms/systems.
• Participate and support in the Annual Operating Planning (AOP) and strategy for the division and Group Networks.

Job Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least a GCE ‘N” Level Certificate
• At least 3 years working experience in related field
• Good knowledge of HR & Payroll software will be an advantage
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Detailed and meticulous
• Positive work attitude
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision

Responsibilities

• Act as Incident first responder for a 24/7 staffed SOC
• Perform security monitoring, vulnerability management, data loss / policy violation prevention and threat hunting
• Monitor security sensors and review logs to identify network anomalies or intrusions
• Provide analysis from monitoring, research and assessment of security log data from a large number of heterogeneous security devices
• Escalate security incidents using established policies and procedures in a timely manner
• Liaise with Ensign customers on security intrusions, identifying root cause and recommend mitigation step(s)/ remedial action(s)
• Perform initial analysis of security events, network traffic, and logs
• Assist with the development of incident response plans, workflows, and SOPs
• Work directly with threat intelligence analysts to convert intelligence into useful detection
• Monitoring the Managed Endpoint and Detection Response (MDR) platforms and performing analysis for notifications
• Performing Response action on Managed Endpoint and Detection Response (MDR) platforms based on standardize workflow and agreement with clients.
• Act as a liaison party for configured alerts to monitor performance of security sensors and tools
• Fulfil Change Requests, Service Requests and respond to internal / external enquiries with regards to Incident Management

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Information System/Information Security from a recognized institution
• 1 year of working experience in networking environment
• Basic, yet sound knowledge of network routing and switching fundamentals to include knowledge of Multiprotocol Layer Switching (MPLS)
• Basic, yet sound technical understanding of operating systems, network architecture and design
• Basic, yet sound knowledge of encryption, key management and cryptology
• Proven ability to plan and prioritize work, both their own and that of project team
• Sound understanding of organizational issues and challenges. Able to work effectively with participants at all levels in an organization
• Ability to analyze problems and determine root causes, generating alternatives, evaluating and selecting alternatives and implementing solutions
• Possess excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate to teammates as well as technical and executive level staff
• Results Oriented
• Fresh graduates with passion for cyber security are welcome and they will be enrolled in an extensive On-Job-Training (OJT) and training for professional certification

Preferred Skills /Qualities

• Professional information technology/security certifications such as ITIL, CCNA and CEH will be preferred but related qualification (i.e. GCIA, CISSP etc.) will be an advantage

Other Special Working Conditions

• Able to perform 12-hour shift duties (2 days’ work with 2 off-days). Working hours: AM - 8:30am to 8:30pm; PM - 8:30pm to 8:30am. Shift patterns and duration may vary from time to time

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Model data to meet different use casesng applications and automate data workflows.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Lead the integration of data from various sources into data lakes and warehouses, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Communicate with and support data users
• Document data processes, data models, and architectural designs to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with best practices.

Prerequisites:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years in data engineering fields with system integration, and at least 1 year in system integration and implementation in cloud/web-based environments.
• Proven Solutions: Demonstrated experience in providing effective, working solutions and implementations, particularly in cloud-based environments.

Technical Skills:

• Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling best practices.
• Proficiency in Databricks, Azure Data lake, PowerBI, Tableau and related data processing and visualisation software.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, AWS and/or Azure platforms.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and R is a must
• Proficiency in other programming languages such as Java, Scala and C# will be advantages
• Experience in data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Apache Flink)

Preferred Exposure:

• Experience with large-data management system with visualisation tools.
• Experience with Data Integration and ETL Pipelines, Data Warehousing and BI reporting projects.
• Experience with Singapore Government Project will be advantages
