Report to: Chief Nursing Officer
1. Assume shift or night duties or be on call whenever necessary.
2. Assist in wound management incorporating tracking of wound progress; and assist in assessing, documentation and reporting of wound condition to Nursing Officers in managing wound outcome.
3. Pack, prepare and serve oral medication, topical application and subcutaneous injections.
4. Assist the Nursing Officer in nursing rounds of Medical Doctor and other Allied Health Professionals (AHP) including Dietitian and Speech Therapist by preparing the required case notes.
5. Assist in arranging residents to attend medical appointments, such as scheduling appointments, assigning care staff to accompany residents and arranging transportation.
6. Prepare and arrange dressing trolleys.
7. Ensure medical supplies and consumables are sufficient.
8. Tidy up the clinic including Treatment room and Medication room.
9. Supervise and assist care staff in the ADLs of residents including serving and feeding of residents on Nasogastric tube.
10. Supervise and assist care staff in handling of toileting needs such as bathing, transfer from bed to wheelchair and commode of residents.
11. Perform daily bladder washout for residents with indwelling catheter.
12. Assist the Nursing Officers to handle any emergency.
13. Attend to emails, telephone calls and phone messages.
14. Assist in recording cash donations and/or donations-in-kind in the record book provided.
15. Assist in performing COVID clearance tests such as ART and PCR as per Home’s schedule. Ensure correct labelling of specimens before dispatch.
16. Assist in updating of case notes including post TCU and other changes in medical conditions.
17. Assist in migration of computer digitalisation when necessary.
18. Perform any other duties as required by the Senior Nursing Officer, Nursing Officers, Director (Client Services) or the Executive Director.
