What Will You Do?
As a data scientist, you will play an important role in supporting HDB on its journey to become data-driven to the core. In this role, you will assume the following responsibilities:
• Provide guidance to business units on data science techniques and how it may help them
• Conceptualise and execute data science projects for business units
• Apply analytical techniques such as data mining, statistical analysis, machine learning etc.
• Uncover actionable insights and present them clearly in an easy-to-understand manner
• Work with IT and Internal Audit units to operationalise data science projects by deploying them into production and maintaining them
• Document, share and continuously improve data science practices
• Manage a range of stakeholders, while remaining focused on delivering high-impact data-driven outcomes for the good of the organization.
Some of the projects that you might be involved in include:
• Data visualization for pattern and trend identification
• Anomaly detection via machine learning algorithms
• Analysing textual data for insights and compliance issues
• Identifying trends and deviations for further investigation
You will be a Great Fit if you:
• Possess a relevant background (i.e., Bachelor’s, Master’s preferred) in Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Economics, Mathematics, Operation Research, Computer Science or related technical field from a reputed institution.
• Have 2+ years of relevant work experience in a business analytics or data science facing role
• Are experienced in use cases related to audit/compliance will be beneficial
• Are proficient in analytical tools such as Python, R, Tableau, etc.
• Have strong analytical, project management and organization skills

Successful candidates will be offered a 1+1 year contract in the first instance. Conversion to perm is dependent on good performance.
