We are looking for part-timers to join us. This role is ideal for those who are free in the day-time for at least 6+hours and are able to commit 1 day a week. Bonus if you have the flexibility to leave only when all the work is completed and can come for more days when the bakery requires. We offer you the flexibility of fixing which days you can work and the flexibility of choosing to start work at a timing of your convenience. You should love to bake, know how to bake sponge cakes.
We bake low-carb cakes without sugar our flour, and we will provide training for all our recipes. Our expectation is that you are meticulous to follow our recipe without fail, and to carry out the cakes without delay. We don't require rushing as we value quality over everything, but we require all items to be done by the normal timing that our bakers have achieved over the years.
Location: 1 Irving Place (Near Tai Seng MRT, 5 mins walk)
Working hours : Min 6 hours, 9am to 4pm-6pm, Tuesday-Saturday ( 1 day, you can choose)
- Must commit 1 time a week
- Must be available during peak period of December, Jan, and September
- More days will be given if you are able to perform and are committed.
- Extra days may be required during peak season.

Job Scope
- Baking of cake sponge, cookies, make sauces, buns etc according to recipes with consistency and care
- Cut and pack finished goods
- Ensure the proper usage of ingredients and minimise food waste
- Clean and maintain baking tools, equipment and kitchen
- Help pass cakes to customers and drivers when required
- Basic inventory management (update of low stock items)
Requirements
- Experience in cake baking, passionate home baker or
- Certificate in Bakery Skills or its equivalent (professional kitchen exprience a bonus)
- SFA Food Hygiene Certified
- Good team player and self-motivated
- Meticulous and strong attention to detail
- Must be able to read and converse in English
- Able to stand for duration of work (seating breaks are allowed, but you should be well aware baking is a standing job)
- Able to handle large batters and push up to 2-3kg levers, and trays of bakes up to 4-5kg (this is not a job if you are frail, have a wrist or back injury))
