Investment Operations/Business Development Executive
As an Investment Operations/Business Development Executive, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations in the investment portfolios and funds managed by the Company including trade placement and/or execution, cash management, and performance reporting. Further, you will also be expected to drive growth and expand the Company’s client base by identifying new business opportunities and nurturing relationships with the Company’s stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
A) Investment Operations
• Trade Placement/Execution:
o Place and/or execute trades in equities and/or fixed income instruments and ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
o Reconcile trade confirmations and statements.
o Monitor corporate actions, such as dividends, mergers, and spin-offs.
• Cash Management:
o Manage fund cash balances and ensure sufficient liquidity.
o Monitor cash flows and reconcile bank statements.
o Process fund expenses and payments.
• Performance Reporting:
o Prepare and analyze fund performance reports.
o Calculate returns, risk metrics, and other key performance indicators.
o Respond to client inquiries regarding fund performance.
• Data Management:
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date investment data.
o Ensure data integrity and consistency across different systems.
o Assist in the implementation of new systems and processes.
• Regulatory Compliance:
o Adhere to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
o Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings.
· Monitor changes in regulations and ensure compliance.
B) Business Development
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities with high-net-worth individuals.
· Expand the firm’s network through partnerships, alliances, and referral programs.
· Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients.
· Develop tailored sales pitches, proposals, and presentations for prospective clients.
· Attend networking events, seminars, and conferences to represent the firm and generate leads.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in investment operations or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with investment performance measurement system (e.g. Bloomberg).
• Knowledge of Singapore's regulatory environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
