Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will prepare high-quality dishes, maintain a clean and organized workstation, and contribute to a positive kitchen environment. This role is essential to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
1. Food Preparation:
• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
• Assist with prepping ingredients, such as chopping, marinating, and assembling dishes.
2. Station Management:
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation.
• Ensure food is cooked and plated in a timely and efficient manner.
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
3. Quality and Safety:
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients.
4. Team Collaboration:
• Communicate effectively with other team members to meet service demands.
• Assist in training new kitchen staff and support teammates during peak times.
5. Inventory and Cleanup:
• Monitor supplies and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
• Participate in daily cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities.
Requirements
1. Experience and Skills:
• Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role (preferred but not required for entry-level applicants).
• Strong understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
2. Technical Knowledge:
• Familiarity with food safety practices and certifications (e.g., Food Handler’s Certificate is a plus).
• Knowledge of recipe execution and portion control.
3. Personal Attributes:
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality dishes.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
4. Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Culinary school training is a plus).
