PURPOSE AND SCOPE

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Key Account Manager to manage long-term and short-term energy solutions to data centre clients, including hyperscalers and colocation players. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of energy contracts and the data centre industry. This role will involve not only sales but also operational responsibilities such as contract management, invoicing and submitting proposals to clients’ tenders or request for proposals (RFP) for short term energy purchases.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Management:

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve long-term and short-term sales goals
• Identify and engage with key decision-makers within hyperscalers and colocation clients
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the data centre industry, as well as relevant governmental stakeholders
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and trends within the data centre industry
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs
• Structure, negotiate and close high-value energy sales agreements including conventional thermal, renewables, and low carbon solutions, to meet or exceed sales targets
• Prepare gate papers for approval of revenue contracts in compliance with internal policies
• Prepare commercial proposals to submit to clients for tender or RFPs of energy supply

Account Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
• Conduct regular account reviews to assess client needs and ensure the delivery of value-added services
• Develop and implement account strategies to maximize revenue and client retention
• Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by clients promptly and effectively

Operational Responsibilities:

• Manage the contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing contracts
• Ensure all contractual obligations are met and compliance with Group policies and regulations
• Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in billing clients
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as finance, legal and portfolio management, to streamline operational processes and structure pricing
• Maintain detailed and organized records of all client interactions, contracts, and transactions

Reporting and Analysis:

• Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on account status and sales progress
• Analyze market trends, client feedback, and the competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience in sales and account management, preferably within the data centre or power and utilities industries
• Relevant certifications such as ISCC RFNBOs would be advantageous
• Strong understanding of hyperscalers and colocation providers
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure and tight timelines
• Proficiency in contract management and invoicing processes
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
• Proficient in using CRM software and other sales management tools

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This role will be a part of a team critical in the Energy Transition journey from brown to green.

This position plays a key role in the project team, serving as an integral member of the commercial team responsible for managing and delivering cross border renewable energy imports into Singapore. The incumbent will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the development of the large-scale renewable energy import project. Exceptional experience will be gained by the individual form a highly strategic project.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform strategic and commercial analysis to support investment decisions.
• Work alongside consultants and advisors (especially engineering, legal) to support the negotiation for various project documents including technical documents, term sheets, partnership, financing, interconnection, EPC, and supply agreements.
• Manage project schedule/timeline for a complex cross border large scale renewable energy project.
• Actively engage and collaborate with stakeholders across various internal and external cross-functional teams.
• Prepare internal updates, investment approval papers, etc. to seek Management and Board approval.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• 8 - 10 years of relevant working experience in energy/renewables (Power, Utilities or Transmission) industry, preferably with some background in project management / procurement.
• Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering)
• Ability to interpret and review technical documents
• Ability to interpret, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including EPC and consultancy agreements.
• Ability to independently conduct strategic and commercial analysis.
• Cross border transactional experience within SEA or APAC (not essential).
• Good understanding of Power market in Singapore, as well as the risks and value drivers
• Demonstrated ability in successfully working with cross-functional teams including technical groups, accounting functions, and project development.

Job Responsibilities

· Build relationships with key channel suppliers(insurance companies, GP clinics) to foster long term collaboration and business growth

· Identify and develop B2B and B2C consumer segments to expand the customer base.

· Conduct regular competitive analysis and pricing research to ensure competitiveness

· Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns from concept to completion

· Ensure the timely rollout of marketing plans with coordination with different stakeholders
