Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%):

1. Participate in and, when necessary, supervise the reception of laboratory specimens and rejection of those that are unsuitable for analysis

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities (20%):

1. Assist with the evaluation of new laboratory test methodologies

Position Summary:

The Network and Infrastructure Integration Engineeris responsible for the provision of the infrastructure platform: network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls) and compute equipment (servers and workstations), including the deployment of the SOE (Standard Operating Environment) for the respective project and/or bid activity.

· Load, configure, validate, and hand over equipment to Software Integration in the factory and on customer sites.

· Support configuration changes to system platforms in factory and customer sites.

· Attend Design Reviews with customers.

· Provide customer training.

· Identify risks at solution architecture level and propose where possible alternate validated solutions.

· Provide system and networking expertise useful in the design.

· Follow and contribute to the development and enhancement of engineering processes.

For Bids / Tenders:

· Creation and peer review of the system Architecture Diagrams.

Requirements (key knowledge and experience):

· Experience in scripting and programming languages (Shell, Python)

Prof. Chan seeks a highly motivated individual to join his laboratory on Mammalian Development and Tissue Hydraulics as a postdoctoral fellow at the Mechanobiology Institute in the National University of Singapore. This position is offered under a highly interdisciplinary project that aims to understand macrophage-environment mechanochemical crosstalk during ovarian ageing.

Project Scope

The candidate will investigate the mechanobiological principles by which cell mechanics, ECM remodelling and inflammation drive fibrosis during ovarian ageing. The selected candidate will combine an ex vivo approach with advanced imaging, omics and biophysics to explore how tissue-resident macrophages respond to age-associated changes in matrix stiffness and composition, and how this in turn drives macrophage-mediated fibrosis.
