2) In the second, systems modelling of alternative fuels and application to real-world data from ship operations will be performed, to compare possible decarbonisation scenarios in view of realistic ship operations. Health-driven design for cities (HD4) is a collaborative research programme between the University of Cambridge, Nanyang Technological University and National University Singapore within Cambridge CARES.

Working collaboratively with a team of population health scientists, geospatial scientists, and data engineers, the post holder will lead on building an agent-based simulation model for Singapore. This role requires a multi-skilled individual that can work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaboration: Work closely with researchers to understand the data needs of the programme and contribute to the design of scientifically robust and policy relevant models linking transport, the built environment, and health outcomes

· Data synthesis: Collaborate with the data engineer and geo-spatial scientists to run simulations within a temporally and spatially detailed network

· Model building: Build operational agent based behavioural models covering vehicle ownership, trip generation, mode choice, destination choice, and route choice for diverse population groups.

· Validation: Ensure model robustness through checking, calibration, and validation.

· Support: Provide technical support and training to researchers.

· Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for model development. Support project reporting.

· Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in transport modelling to incorporate new technologies and methodologies.

What skills will you need?

· Education: PhD degree in a relevant field.

· Experience: Proven experience in agent-based transport modelling.

1. Expertise in econometric travel behaviour modelling

The broad aim of the project is to develop novel approaches and technologies for fully de-fossilised routes to complex functional molecules and molecular materials. The project will also explore novel synthetic methods for conversion of the building blocks into end-use functional molecules. Novel synthesis technologies (photoelectrochemistry, sonochemistry, mechanochemistry, etc), as well as advanced research methods (AI, chemoinformatics, high-throughput synthesis) and process metrics (LCA and technoeconomic analysis) are included in this large project.

Who are we looking for?

The Gaunt group are looking for passionate and creative scientist to join our team as postdoctoral researchers in synthetic chemistry based in Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore, and closely integrated with the Gaunt group @ the University of Cambridge. The successful candidate will join the dynamic and collaborative research group of Professor Matthew Gaunt, working at the forefront of cutting-edge synthetic methodologies and their applications (https://www.thegauntgroup.com/).

The synthetic chemist at CARES will be supervised by Prof. Gaunt and will join a “Synthesis Team” of the larger SM3 project, which will involve close collaboration with Profs. Synthetic chemists are uniquely placed to leverage catalytic systems to design reactions that control structure and function at a molecular level in all types of bioactive complex molecules. We are looking for experts in synthetic chemistry who are interested in taking on new challenges and exploiting their experience to explore new areas of catalyst-controlled reactivity that lead to an expansion of accessible chemical space.

JOB DESCRIPTION – VETERINARY NURSE

· Responsible for ensuring the safe and effective administration of anaesthesia and monitoring of animals undergoing surgical or diagnostic procedures e.g. MRI imaging. The role involves working closely with veterinarians and other veterinary nurses to provide high standards of care for animal patients.

▪ Perform general anaesthesia for companion animals including exotics species inclusive but not limited to birds, rabbits etc.

o Assess animals pre-operatively, including reviewing medical history and evaluating health status for anaesthesia suitability.

o Prepare and calculate accurate doses of anaesthetic drugs as per the veterinarian’s instructions.

o Perform nursing duties such as placing catheters, preparing patients for general anaesthesia.

o Set up and maintain anaesthesia equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.

o Assist in the induction, maintenance, and recovery of animals under general anaesthesia.

▪ Perform general anaesthesia monitoring for patients
