UWCSEA East is excited to announce an opportunity for a Middle School Head of Activities for the academic year 2025/2026.

The Head of Middle School Activities is responsible for the design, delivery, and monitoring of the Middle School activities programme and related resources. This leadership role supports the wider UWCSEA holistic learning programme, diverse student learning needs and interests, and has clear pathways throughout Middle School activities. The post holder is responsible for planning and delivering a developmentally appropriate activities programme that supports young adolescent learning in a full range of activity categories. Job Summary

The Technical Superintendent is responsible for the overall technical management of the tugboat assigned to him/her, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role involves overseeing vessel maintenance, repairs, inspections, and managing the shipboard technical teams to ensure the tugboats are maintained to the highest standards. The Technical Superintendent will work closely with the Operations team, HSEQ Team and Crewing team, and external service providers to ensure the fleet operates efficiently and meets regulatory requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensure vessels comply with safety, environmental, maritime, and regulatory requirements, including class and flag state regulation & requirements. Oversee the daily operations of the tugboat fleet to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Supervise the planning and execution of regular maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking activities, while ensuring the vessels are always prepared for operational deployment.
• Provide technical support to the vessel during operational issues or breakdowns, troubleshooting and resolving any technical problems that arise in daily operations. The incumbent will act as the Programme Manager for the Master's programmes at the NUS Faculty of Science in response to the suite of Programmes' rapid expansion. The dedicated person will help to ensure the smooth delivery of the sought-after self-financing programmes and ensure their service standard. By working with the Programme Directors and Dean's Office at the Faculty of Science, he/she will manage the Programmes' end-to-end administration including admission, job placement, alumni relations, and other related portfolios. • Work closely with Programme Director(s) and Dean's Office, to take charge of the overall administration of the Master's programmes throughout the student lifecycle.

The project will entail a close characterization of these host factors and their role in the viral life cycle as well as the modulation of the immune response of small animal model to these viruses. In addition to multi-Omics approaches (including single-cell and spatial), protein-protein interactions, microscopy, functional genomics, viral reverse genetics and CRISPR Cas9 gene editing will be some of the tools used to investigate this viral hijacking and understand the host-viral interplay. Animals models available in the lab include mice and zebrafish. Downstream of characterization will aim to validate these targets in small preclinical models for subsequent drug discovery in the A*STAR ecosystem.
