The responsibility of this pivotal role is to head the organization to ensure efficient and timely surveillance of ASEAN+3 economies during both peace and crisis time, and any other related work set by the Executive Committee in accordance with the Agreement Establishing AMRO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The AMRO Director will perform the following functions:

• Provide the Executive Committee with periodic assessments of macroeconomic and financial conditions and policies in the region.
• Be accountable to the Executive Committee and subject to its general control.
• Be chief of the staff of AMRO and, unless the Executive Committee decides otherwise, be responsible for the organization, appointment and dismissal of staff and overall performance of AMRO.
