Overall Summary:

Network Engineer will drive the implementation of strategy for infrastructure operations and maintenance to ensure availability of stable and secure systems. He/She manages project resource allocation and develops infrastructure implementation, operations and maintenance engineers; scopes out policies and sets performance expectations. He identifies problems and presents new methodologies and/or solutions to key stakeholders to enhance and improve the delivery of infrastructure operations and maintenance services.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Support infrastructure design and implementation

• Support technical system analysis to determine the extent to which solutions perform “as required” to ensure that future solutions meet anticipated demand

In this role, you will be the subject matter expert for grants and ensure compliance and accountability in grant administration. You will need to build a good rapport with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives and deliver good client experience. A suitable candidate may deputize the Team Lead.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage a team to oversee the day-to-day administration of grant processing matters, including the review and approval of applications and claims.
• Engage, influence, and communicate with stakeholders on policies and procedures to ensure good governance and consistency in grant administration activities.
• Responsible for effective and efficient SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), be actively involved in the implementation and undertake improvements or updates to the SOPs.
• Provide consultation and advice to team members in executing policies, system processes and ensure smooth & efficient daily operations and accurate data records.
• Track, analyze and report processing data to Team Lead and senior management, including preparing monthly Ops reports, processing targets and other reports. Handle audit activities as and when required.
• Handle administrative duties, and undertake ad-hoc assignments to events/ projects assigned by management or HR.

Job Requirements

• Qualifications in Business Administration/Management, Accounting, Data Science or other relevant disciplines
• At least 8 years in grants management/administration or experience in conducting audit, evaluation and/or claims related work
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem solving, analytical and systems thinking abilities required
• Good communication skills (written, spoken and presentation) and detail-oriented
• Good team player with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative

About The Team

The TikTok Data Ecosystem Team has the vital role of crafting and implementing a storage solution for offline data in TikTok's recommendation system, which caters to more than a billion users. Their primary objectives are to guarantee system reliability, uninterrupted service, and seamless performance. They aim to create a storage and computing infrastructure that can adapt to various data sources within the recommendation system, accommodating diverse storage needs. Qualifications

What you should have:

- Bachelor's Degree or above, majoring in Computer Science, or related fields, with 4+ years of relevant development experience in the field with a strong programming ability, and proficiency in one of C/C++/Java;

- In-depth understanding of the architecture and principles of distributed systems;

Preferred Qualifications:

- Show familiarity with distributed transaction models.

• As a Shipbroker, you may cover many disciplines, such as sale and purchase, dry cargo broking, tanker broking or container broking. However, it is more commonplace for Shipbrokers to specialise in one particular area.
• Typical responsibilities of a Shipbroker would involve marketing of tonnage (ships) to customers/shippers/charterers. Negotiate spot/time charters to achieve maximum income for the owners.
• You would maintain records or tonnage within the company’s database.
• A Shipbroker is involved in many stages of setting up and negotiating deals, including presenting the business to potential clients, negotiating the main terms of a contract or sale and seeing it through to its conclusion and any follow up that may be involved.
• Like any role that involves buying and selling, a good Shipbroker would build up a database of contacts and keep a close eye on the shipping market, interpreting trends and seeing opportunities for clients.

Key skills and qualifications:

• The ideal candidate would hold a shipping degree, commercial degree or similar commercial qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of proven track records.
• Possess good command of English & Mandarin; any proficiency in a third language will be highly favourable.
• Client management/relationship building skills, priority given to candidates with existing clientele portfolio.
• Candidate needs to be a team player & possess hunger for success
• Having an entrepreneurial nature would be highly desirable along with a strong personal drive to succeed.
