Job Description
The Singapore Office of Jones Day seeks an associate to join its Corporate Practice to advise on a range of fund formation, fund investment and fund regulatory matters, as well as private equity, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and general corporate matters.
We regularly advise corporate, private equity, and fund manager clients in the negotiation of a wide variety of fund formation and fund investment transactions, with a particular focus on real estate and technology investment transactions. Our lawyers are active in representing all categories of market participants, including sovereign wealth and pension fund investors, global and local corporates and asset managers across a wide range of transactions.
We are looking for an associate who has experience advising on fund related transactions (including both fund formation and investment transactions) in the region, who is excited to contribute to international client teams, is focused and committed to tackling challenging cross-border legal work, and is motivated to be a resource for others.
Requirements
- 2-4 years’ of post-qualification law firm experience representing investment funds and fund investors
· Admission to the bar in Singapore, England & Wales, or US
· Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
· Superior academic background and results
· Ability to work with other team members and clients
· Willingness to take ownership of projects is essential
· To be located in Singapore; travelling may be required
