Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the growth and development of the company's business operations. This role involves leading the business development team, identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the company's market expansion. The GM will contribute to strategic planning, manage key partnerships, and drive revenue growth through new markets, products, or services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Market Research:Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, including market expansion, product diversification, and new service offerings.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for expansion.
Analyze trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies to shape business development initiatives.
2. Business Development & Sales:Identify and pursue new business opportunities by developing relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Negotiate and close high-value deals, ensuring the company’s revenue growth.
Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners to increase customer retention and loyalty.
3. Team Leadership & Collaboration:Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business development professionals to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure business development activities align with company objectives.
Coordinate with senior leadership to define short-term and long-term business goals.
4. Revenue Growth & Profitability:Work to meet or exceed sales and revenue targets, focusing on increasing profitability.
Develop and monitor financial budgets, forecasts, and growth metrics, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Identify cost-effective methods to achieve business objectives while maximizing profit margins.
5. Client Relationship Management:Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients and partners, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and provide tailored solutions to meet specific client needs.
6. Contract Negotiation & Management:Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with clients and partners.
Ensure all contracts are compliant with company policies and legal regulations.
Oversee the execution of agreements, ensuring timely delivery and fulfillment of obligations.
7. Reporting & Analysis:Regularly report to executive leadership on business development progress, performance, and key metrics.
Analyze business development activities, track KPIs, and adjust strategies to optimize performance.
8. Risk Management & Compliance:Identify potential risks related to business development activities and work to mitigate them.
Ensure all business development activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
· 20+ years of well-rounded marketing, commercial management experience in positions of increasing responsibility, with a focus on developing new markets, launching disruptive technologies / products requiring a paradigm shift, and expanding penetration in existing markets.
· Ideally, experienced in Innovative Video R&D and IP Workflow Solutions
· Proven to be an inspirational leader that can hire, train and develop regional marketing teams that integrate successfully with country general managers and their sales and marketing teams
· Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, demand generation, brand, product and service management, and business development; along with a demonstrated track record of success and leadership performance
· Leads Change: possesses the capability to clearly and consistently communicate the reason and benefit of a course of action. This leader can identify where real change is necessary for the business to perform at a high level and communicates the course of action clearly. He / She can balance conflicting demands by being compassionately tough and negotiating the most positive outcome based on company principles.

· Pro AV, VoIP industry experience is required
· Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
· Candidates must either be based in Singapore or open to relocation.
