Responsibilities:
- Handles the technical aspects of patch deployment and system updates.
- Ensures that patches are tested, scheduled, and deployed with minimal disruption to system availability.
- Responsible for testing patches in a controlled environment before deploying them to production systems.
- Verify that patches do not introduce new issues or conflicts.
- Regular scanning and analysis.
- Scheduled and controlled patch deployment.
- Perform risk-based prioritization.
- Rigorous testing in a controlled environment.
- Collaborate with customer’s IT team for user acceptance testing.
- Emergency response for critical vulnerabilities.
- Understand the customer’s infrastructure and become familiar with the Customer’s infrastructure environment and support processes and procedures to ensure supporting customer with proper SLAs.
- Troubleshoot production issues to fix any user related issues and work with principal vendors and customer to provide the resolution within the proposed timelines.
- Be available for customers’ questions in assisting their needs to support any issues and monitor customer’s environment leveraging appropriate monitoring tools as well for special scheduled activities performed during non-business hours or public holidays due to system upgrades.
