Job Description
We are seeking a full-time, entrepreneurial-minded, all-rounder for our startup engagement programmes to be part of our growing team in Singapore.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on market-leading programmes that facilitate pilots and collaborations between global built-environment startups and the Kajima Asia Pacific group in live test-bed environments. Selected startups have access to The GEAR Building’s world-class facilities, mentorship, and grant funding from The GEAR by Kajima Pte Ltd for projects to fast-track commercialisation of new technologies in the industry.
The Startup Programmes Associate is responsible for supporting in the delivery of the Startup Residency and Community Access Programmes to liaise with stakeholders, organise events, and keep programme timelines and admin on track.

Key Responsibilities
Startup Programmes Support
· Work alongside the Startup Programmes Lead in executing the Startup Residency Programme, including managing programme timelines, preparing detailed schedules, and ensuring seamless coordination of activities.
· Develop, edit, and distribute high-quality programme materials such as onboarding documents, session presentations, workshop handouts, and feedback forms to support startups throughout the programme.
· Plan, schedule, and coordinate workshops, guest speaker sessions, and networking events, ensuring all logistics, speaker briefs, and participant communication are well-handled.
· Compile and analyse data to prepare progress reports on programme updates, outcomes, and impact metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
· Provide operational support for Proof-of-Concept projects between Kajima and startups, including setting project milestones, tracking deliverables, and facilitating regular status updates to stakeholders.
Community Management
· Manage the end-to-end operations of the Community Access Programme, from handling member applications and onboarding to addressing queries and ensuring ongoing engagement.
· Act as the primary point of contact for community members, ensuring timely communication and addressing concerns or feedback effectively.
· Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and implement innovative ideas for maximising member engagement, including organising community-driven events, and collaborative projects.
· Identify, reach out to, and nurture new leads for community membership by attending networking events, exploring industry connections, and leveraging digital platforms.
· Create compelling promotional content, such as case studies that highlight programme impact and member spotlights showcasing innovative community contributions, for use in newsletters, social media, and marketing campaigns.
Event Coordination
· Design and distribute appealing and informative event invitations and promotional materials that effectively communicate event goals and details to targeted audiences.
· Manage guest registration and communication, including tracking RSVPs, sending reminders, and coordinating event-day check-ins to ensure a seamless guest experience.
· Maintain a detailed event project tracker, assigning tasks, monitoring deadlines, and proactively resolving bottlenecks to ensure event timelines stay on schedule.
· Coordinate with external vendors, such as catering providers, design agencies, and AV teams, to ensure all logistical arrangements meet event requirements and standards.
· Support on-site event operations, including setup, troubleshooting, and post-event wrap-up, ensuring events run smoothly from start to finish.
Qualifications
· Innovation and / or entrepreneurship work experience with an understanding of early-stage startups on how they think, work, and problems they encounter.
· Project / programme management experience, including creating and managing project planners, assigning and delegating tasks, and keeping track of timelines.
· Experience with managing stakeholder communications on project status, timelines, and deliverables.
· A passion for networking and connecting with experience in community building / bringing people together.
· Energetic and enthusiastic about the startup and technology landscape. Ability to “speak the language” of founders, partners and stakeholders.
· Detail-oriented problem solver who never gives up.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
