Job Role Description:

The Project Manager oversees the planning and all project operations. He/She manages the progress of the project and ensures quality and timely delivery. The Project Manager will be required to travel to project sites. Good communication skills are needed to liaise with the various stakeholders.

Position Summary

A Ship Broker serves as a crucial intermediary between ship owners and charterers, facilitating the leasing, purchase, and sale of vessels. This role encompasses negotiating contracts, coordinating cargo transportation, and ensuring adherence to international maritime regulations. Ship Brokers must remain well-informed about market trends, vessel availability, and freight rates to offer strategic advice to clients. Core responsibilities include drafting charter parties, liaising with clients and legal teams, and nurturing relationships within the maritime industry. Success in this dynamic and competitive field demands exceptional communication and negotiation skills, coupled with a profound understanding of maritime commerce.

Responsibilities:

Manage Chatering Brokering Activities

• Find ships for specific employment
• Analyse reports on sales and earnings
• Ensure compliance with port and flag state regulations, and shipments terms
• Analyse reports on chartering activities and supply and demand of ships
• Negotiate spot fixtures / time charters to facilitate chartering operations
• Monitor the targets achieved against key performance indicators
• Develop business unit plans

Grow chartering business

• Analyse market data to identify business opportunities
• Evaluate recommendations for potential business opportunities
• Analyse risks of potential business opportunities

Manage Business Risks

• Manage compliance to risk management frameworks, policies and processes

Lead Improvements to Enhance Efficiency

• Oversee implementation of workflow improvements to improve efficiency

Manage Resource Planning

• Optimise utilisation of resources
• Acquire and allocate resources to support operations

Service Client Accounts

• Manage contracts with charterers, ship owners and other Shipbrokers within the team
• Manage issue arising from servicing client accounts

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Maritime-related discipline.
• Possess minimum 2 years of working experience in chartering business of Dry Bulk.
• Articulate and discuss ideas and persuade others to achieve common outcomes.
• Detect and decipher emotions of others to manage interpersonal relationships in social situations.
• Contribute to a positive and cooperative working environment by fulfilling own responsibilities and providing support to co-workers to achieve team goals.
• Anticipate customer needs and expectations and elicit feedback from customers to improve service.
• Build relationships with customers to create and sustain customer loyalty.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a full-time on-site role as a Clinic Assistant. The role involves daily tasks such as communication with patients, receptionist duties, customer service, knowledge of medical terminology and patient care.

• Registration of patients including but not limited to checking of Insurance eligibility, name, NRIC, contact no, address, drug allergies, patient’s declaration and temperature.
• Assisting doctors to chaperone, during procedures and ensuring equipment are sterile/ready for use.
• Preparation, replenishment, checking and dispensing of medications.
• Replenishment of medications and consumables as required.
• Collection of payment including but not limited to submission of Insurance claims.
• Attending to phone calls, scheduling, appointment, reminders, and medication follow-up.
• Handling administration and documentation of referrals, lab tests, and radiology services from various vendors.
• Checking orders against invoices for all deliveries.
• Other duties assigned by Group Clinic Manager from time to time.
• Service oriented with excellent telecommunication and interpersonal skills.
• Initiative, self-motivated, Teamwork and result oriented.
• Able to work both independently as well as a good team player.
• Need to be adequately IT savvy.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma
• Preferably able to speak Mandarin to effectively communicate with a significant number of our Mandarin-speaking patients.
