• Work with the team of toolmakers in achieving the goals & objectives.
• Technical tooling support to T&D and production line to achieve technical & quality requirements.
• Technical support to tool designing and sales in meeting customers’ requirements.
• Support tooling supervisor to ensure tool readiness to support production.
• Liaise with production and planner to set priority schedule base on tooling status.
• Liaise with Design department on tool improvement for greater output and efficiency.
• Lead the tooling team in problem solving, identification of problems & analysis of root cause.
• Lead/support continuous improvements in tool/work processes.
• Work closely with toolroom on machining needs for tooling modification and improvement program.
• Manage the tooling to ensure efficient allocation of resources and as well as meeting the needs
• Train, guide and counsel toolmakers.
• Act on behalf of the Principal Engineer in his absence.
• Diploma in Precision Engineering
• Technical qualification in Tool & Die making.

about the job

• Provide technical assistance and advice covering but not limited to safety management systems, process safety, fire prevention, quantitative risk analysis and behavioural safety to ensure minimization of losses and prevention of fires
• Carry out design safety philosophy, develop specifications for fire protection systems (active & passive), data sheet for firefighting systems
• Calculate fire water requirements for brownfield/greenfield projects and integrate new facilities with existing systems
• Assist/Participate/Lead process hazard reviews and analysis including HAZOP/HAZID/SIL studies and carry out actions close-out
• Consolidate HSSE action item register and coordinate with engineering disciplines for closure of action points
• Independently carry out analysis and design of active and passive fire protection systems and prepare hazardous area classification documentation, safety & firefighting layouts, and other safety drawings
• Review and co-ordinate third party process safety studies including FERA, dispersion analysis, BIA, EIA, QRA studies, etc.

skills & experience required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical / Environmental / Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent
• Minimum 8 years HSE Engineering experience in the Oil Storage Terminal Midstream O&G
• Possess good knowledge of Oil & Gas facilities, regulatory codes & standards, and the ability to influence designs to achieve optimal HSE outcomes
• Familiar with HAZID, HAZOP, SIL reviews and other safety reviews (e.g. SIMOPS, ALARP) preferred.
• Good working knowledge in PIPENET Vision, FLARESIM and other consequence modelling software such as DNV PHAST etc is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Indonesia,Malay fluently due to the need to serve Bahasa Indonesia-speaking customers / stuffs who cannot speak english
• Able to be based permanently arund Batam area (Mon to Fri)
