Oversee and drive centralisation of the following areas for the PvB business. The purpose is to drive efficiency, productivity and overall performance of these areas for the Business:
- EAM & Introducer
- Product Program /Propositions
- Digital Enablement
- Business Banking Partnership / New Business Initiatives
- SCTS Onboarding
- SCTS Trust Accounting
- Advising and guiding the Private Banking Front Office and support functions with respect to creating an environment where people, process and systems work seamlessly together
- Collaborate with front office and support functions to ensure that robust controls are in place & are well deployed while balancing client experience. Where required make adequate escalations to draw necessary management attention.
- In coordination with Legal & Compliance, keeping abreast of legal and regulatory changes. Continuously review and raise the standards on internal controls in line with regulatory expectations & best in class PvB practices.
- Liaise with Group Policy owners in shaping internal policies with respect to PvB Controls
- Support/oversee key projects related to the business’s strategic objectives

- Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people, and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
- Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
- Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
- Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives
Risk Management
- Execution responsibility for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating operational and reputational risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them
Governance
- Oversee governance of PvB SGHK EAM & Introducer business
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
- Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles
Our Ideal Candidate
- 8 plus years of experience in the banking industry.
- Sound HKMA/SFC/MAS regulatory knowledge and understanding of the private banking business.
- Solid experience in Change Management; ability to adapt and act quickly to drive change by advocating innovative solutions
- Product knowledge is preferred
- Self-motivated team player, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate and resolve complex operational issues
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word is a must.
