· Coordinates construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications

· Interprets structural drawings for implementation in construction projects

· Reviews design and discusses modifications with consultants, providing engineering input and alternative methods to address construction challenges

· Raised RFI (Request for Information) on any discrepancies and ambiguities in the design drawings

· Works with construction team, including project managers, site engineers, architects and electrical and mechanical engineers to explain drawings, specifications and other technical information to answer their clarifications

· Conducts regular technical meetings with consultants and client to discuss and resolve construction issues

· Manages structural drafters and reviews shop drawings to ensure these are in compliance with the project specifications

· Monitors changes to designs, assessing effects on cost and assisting with variation negotiations

Maintained up to date documentation and filing system of all relevant technical reports and submissions, drawings and specifications

• Supervise engineers and site supervisors and ensure they carried out the work according to plan
• Planning and preparation for sub-contractors to carry out their site work
• Monitoring site progress and ensure that construction works are carry out in a safe manner
• Coaching and guide young Engineers in construction work
• Co-ordinator with technical team and sub-contractors
• Ensure works carry out by sub-contractors are done safely
• Inspect the workmanship of the sub-contractors
• Must have at least 5 years in MRT construction work experience
• Must have a degree in Civil Engineering

Work Hours

Full-time employees must work a 5-day week, including a weekend. Your work schedule is pegged to the center's operation hours and operational needs. As a general rule, you will work the following hours:

• Weekdays: 12.30pm to 9.30pm (inclusive of one hour's meal break)
• Saturday or Sunday: 8.30am to 6.30pm (inclusive of one hour's meal break)
• 1 weekday off; 1 rest day
• +/- 2-hour meeting per week

Job Requirements
