• Inspect and maintain excavator equipment to ensure optimal performance, conducting routine checks and reporting any malfunctions or maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other construction teams to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to project timelines.
• Follow and enforce all safety protocols and construction site regulations to minimize risk and prevent accidents.
• Plan and execute excavation work in a precise manner, considering site conditions and project specifications.
• Ensure proper digging, trenching, and backfilling techniques are followed to protect plumbing infrastructure.
• Document and report daily excavation activities, including progress, equipment status, and any issues encountered on-site.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience operating excavators in the construction industry, with a strong emphasis on plumbing and sanitary projects.
• Valid Class 4/5 driving license and certification in excavator operation (e.g., WSQ Heavy Construction Equipment Operation).
• Proven track record of managing excavation operations safely and effectively.
• Excellent knowledge of excavation techniques, trenching, and site safety procedures.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience guiding a team of operators.
• Ability to interpret construction plans and work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to quality work.
• Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments and challenging conditions.
