Mechanical Engineer (Design / Drilling equipment)

Roles and Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Procurement Category Coordinator/Analyst’s main responsibility is to support the Category procurement function. This includes data maintenance on trade agreements, creation of items, preparation of supplier contracts and maintaining and updating important supplier documents such as certificates and material safety data sheets. The support also includes setting up items so that inbound supply chain in Wrist runs smooth and that forecasting created to key suppliers with volume agreements.

• Coordinators will analyse category spend prior to tenders, actions or negotiations. Job Description & Requirements

• Troubleshoot electrical devices, circuit breaker, relays sensors, motors and etc.
• Repair malfunctioning equipment, appliances and apparatus Assemble evaluate, and maintain electrical wiring, apparatus, and equipment
• Inspect and conduct preventative maintenance checks to reduce abrupt breakdowns
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and record Perform electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting and repair work downtime
• Communicate with relevant authorities, internal amd external customers on all related matter
• Work independently to operate and test assigned machinery for safety and efficiency
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

• ITE or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on working experience as electrical technician
• Essential prerequisites include good analytical & problem-solving skills, ability to communicate with co-workers in different functions & contractors, and strong spirit of collaboration & team-work.

Job Description/Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible for design, building and commissioning of laboratory space and the chemical processing systems, associated equipment, and components where applicable. Develop procedures for testing, including validation protocols for the same. Work with vendors/regulatory bodies/partners where applicable. The person will be in-charge of both the laboratory and the pilot process upon commissioning.

2. Lead the operation of the system in Batch, Feb-Batch and Continuous mode for producing the products. Lead the separation/purification of the product and reproduction of the catalyst.

3. Collaborate with staff from other organisations (chemical engineers, chemists, or others) where necessary and act as project manager for the procurement of equipment/consumables externally.

4. Participate in relevant safety studies. Ensure compliance to OHSMS/relevant regulations and follow industrial best practices.

5. Analyse and summarise experimental data, communicate and present results orally and prepare regular summaries and progress report to management and partners.

6. Any other work as assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or Chemists with relevant process knowledge. 2+ years of experience.

· Should have work experience in chemistry lab environment.

· Good communication skills and able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

· Highly motivated and can work independently.

· Willing to work in Tuas South.
