Duties

· Take a leading role managing delivery of our engineering projects;

· Plan, design, and coordinate such as civil projects and building projects, engineering design works for local projects covering a wide variety of work nature,

· Ensure all engineering solutions comply with all relevant Statutory standards, Regulations and Codes of Practices,

· Lead and manage the in-house engineering team ensuring engineering services follow best practices,

Basic Requirements:

· Degree in Civil Engineering, must be recognized by Singapore Professional Engineering Board (PEB Singapore),

· 10 years or more of relevant experience in engineering design;

· Hands-on civil, structural and/or geotechnical expertise;

· Familiar with all aspects of the design submissions process for various types of projects in Singapore;

· Proven experience in team leadership, good interpersonal and communication skills;

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) is a unique department at NTU Singapore, advancing cutting-edge education and research in diverse areas of chemistry, chemical engineering, bio(medical)engineering, biotechnology, and other relevant multidisciplinary fields. CCEB invites applications for the area of Sustainability Engineering at the Assistant Professor level. Possible areas include but are not limited to data driven energy system modelling, carbon economics, logistics and supply chain management, and/or techno-economic analysis and life cycle assessment, particularly in the context of sustainability and circularity.

We are open to expanding these areas as well as entering new fields. Applicants should hold a Ph.D in a related science or engineering field by the beginning of employment and should have demonstrated experience in the related research. Preference will be given to individuals with foundational training in chemical engineering or closely related disciplines. Under special circumstances, an untenured associate or senior faculty appointment is possible, commensurate with experience. Faculty duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the related subjects and developing course materials, conducting original scholarly research, as well as advising, supervising, training, and mentoring students and junior researchers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESCRIPTION

• Lead, manage and motivate with cross discipline team members to make sure that all parties are aligned to project requirements/scopes, schedules and costs
• Build and sustain effective communication with other roles involved in the project
• Project scope management: develops and maintains project documentation which includes creating project business case, project schedule and issue list, establishing role & responsibility and key tasks / milestones
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues arising in project and timely escalations throughout project life cycle
• Write business requirements documents for projects/enhancements/ continuous improvements
• Map AS-IS and TO-BE processes, design new business processes and re-engineer existing business processes and define operational process metrics.
• Responsible for super user/ end user acceptance testing, including executing some test scripts and overseeing and execution of process training
• Manage change requests to ensure all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget
• Conduct pre- and post-implementation audits
• Manage customer satisfaction within the project period
• Ensure a seamless handover of successfully implemented project to operations team
• Document lessons learned at the end of project cycle

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor Degree in a related discipline
• Proven track record in project management, data analysis skills
• Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies
• Knowledge/ Experience of warehousing/ ecomm operations
• Able to multi-task and work under pressure and tight schedule effectively and independently
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• 5 years experience in a supply chain project implementation
• Travel requirement: ~30% (project stage dependent)
