About the role
This role contacts assigned / agreed customers or prospects to sell company Alcona Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) range of products and services within South East Asia. Focuses on meeting assigned sales budget, new business development, maintaining customer relationships and troubleshooting specific customer problems. Has solid knowledge of AMOS products and services across AMOS’ 4 pillars, characteristics and market(s), benefits, value and potential. Uses excellent interpersonal skills and sales experience to drive customer commitment and revenue growth at the right margin.
Main responsibilities
Sales Management
- Owning and achieving annual sales budgets within assigned product sector and/or accounts.
- Ensure adherence to global sales policies, processes, and guidelines.
- Secure buy-in from key customer stakeholders and maintain optimal relationships across account teams.
- To drive profitable sales growth for the allocated customers across all sectors of responsibility.
- Develop and deploy growth strategies in conjunction with Operations and (Key) Account Managers across the respective region.
Customer Engagement
- Drive growth of the allocated PPE product sector and/or accounts by ensuring appropriate collaboration across all functions.
- Identify and pursue new/existing customers via lead generation activities, including cold calls and planned visits.
- Strengthen customer relationships by engaging with key decision-makers and navigating customer hierarchies.
- Effectively navigates the customer’s hierarchical structure, establishing himself or herself as a trusted advisor at multiple levels.
- Focus on selling value-added solutions and managing customer contracting, compliance checks, and agreement renewals.
- Review sales pipeline, top-line revenue, and margin performance, initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Review and manage customer credit and payment in close cooperation with AMOS’ Account Receivables team.
Sales Planning & Review
- Attend regular review meetings with Head Of Sales (HOS).
- Review account pipeline (including RFQ’s), activities and performance using Salesforce (CRM).
- Review new opportunities, new business, loss business and new competition on a regular basis and take corrective actions, where applicable.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly customer business reviews, ensuring well-prepared meetings with relevant stakeholders.
- Support HOS in ensuring minutes from Strategic Reviews are distributed to all relevant stakeholders and corrective actions are followed up.
- Escalate concerns or complaints to the HOS timely.
Opportunity Management
- Develop a personal network within the business sector and represent AMOS at events, obtaining market intelligence and enhancing visibility.
- Adhere to company processes and procedures and utilizes the Salesforce and other tools to document customer interaction, needs, and business projections.
- Use Salesforce for documenting customer interactions, needs, and business projections, ensuring effective customer retention and business development.
Collaboration and Transparency
- Collaborate cohesively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Secure compliance with AMOS’ sales governance
Requirements
- Min. 5 years experience in business development and managing sales
- Min. 3 years of work experience in PPE and/or Safety Equipment
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with Salesforce.com and SAP
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from a 4-year university
- The ability to converse well in both English and Mandarin/Japanese/Korean (to liaise with the APAC-based clients) is preferred
