• Marine Logistics Executive or Marine Logistics Assistant Manager assists the Marine Logistics Manager in the day to day operations and their functions including:-

• Carry out necessary formalities and documentary requirements with Flag State, Port Authorities, Immigration and Customs for sea staff signing on/off vessels.
• Maintain and update an efficient filing system for the Operations Department.
• Sourcing and appointment of agency with approval from the Marine Logistics Manager.
• Contacting ex-seafarer for redeployment.
• Sourcing for new seafarer and arranging for interview of senior officers with the respective department heads.
• Checking seafarer’s certificates, including arrangement for medical check-up as per Charterer’s requirement.
• Checking of seafarer’s certificate authenticity with the relevant authority and application for Flag State licence.
• Maintaining up-to-date seafarer’s personnel file and monitoring seafarer’s certificates and documents expiry.
• Updating crew planning/rotation list and crew list.

• Extension of crew’s entry pass and ship’s landing pass with Singapore Immigration authority.

Responsibilities

• In charge of store planning and store upkeep.
• Inventory control of store items and this will include receipt of materials via D/O, packing list that matches the P/O. Identifying of materials and binning of materials into designated locations and codification of materials.
• Driving of forklift to load and offload materials.
• Report any discrepancies and/or deviation in practice of procedures.
• Assist to supervise and guide all junior staff in store.
• Able to work independently and as a team.

Requirements

• GCE ‘O’ level / ITC / Others.
• 2-year warehouse operation experience.
• Candidates with no experience may apply.
• Preferably with forklift license.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Some experience in SAP or other WMS.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects.
• Candidate required to work overtime after normal hours and weekends when required.

Job Description

The Job

• Direct Resource Planning at the macro level to allocate manpower and equipment/services in order to achieve smooth operations at both OMC Tuas and PLH in Jurong Port:Initiate engagements with Customers and BU to understand proper scope of intended project.
  Establish appropriate assignment of term contractors to the project such that adequate resources are deployed with minimal administrative burden.
  
• Monitoring and supervision of facility management in OMC Tuas:Contracting and management of term contractors, supervise scheduled maintenance work.
  Manage the expectation of JTC and manage the work as per the contract.
  Ensure that JP gets reimbursed for the ad hoc jobs not covered un the contract with JP contractors.
  
• Management of Procurement and Contractor matters:Design effective and cost-efficient term contracts alongside CPU.
  Participate in the pre-award procurement of services, prepare purchase requirement, provide technical clarifications, participate in negotiation, and evaluate the qualified vendors. Ensure that cost by vendors is reasonable and within budget.
  Manage, coordinate, and maintain positive relationship with contractors.
  
• Direct Bidding and Proposal activities at macro level to support BU in their engagement with end clients:Vet and/or prepare technical proposals, cost estimation in bidding external projects.
  Client engagement, demonstrate proposals in client Kick-Off-Meetings and Pre-Ops meetings, and provide technical clarifications.
  
• Manage OMC department’s finances to ensure OMC department remains a financially viable operation:Manage, monitor, and track terminal’s profit and loss.
  Control and maintain terminal’s financial performance and operation throughput.
  Ensure finance AP issues are resolved expediently to keep vendors payments flowing.
  
• Others: Support in departmental budget planning, capital expenditure projects.
  

Job Requirement

• University graduate in a logistics and supply chain management discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in maritime, offshore, logistics, or in the port industry.
• Strong operation background knowledge on terminals, offshore operations or other relevant areas.

Job Descriptions:

• Prepare designs, sketches and reports with supporting calculations for projects, and supply drafting staff with information to assist in the production of detailed drawings, the development of quantities, materials lists and cost estimates as required.

• Min. of Diploma in marine engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ship repair or refit project engineering.

• Proficient in project management with a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and team collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Attributes:

• Familiarity with High-speed craft systems and operational requirements.
• Experience coordinating with regulatory authorities and international clients.
• Completion of SRM (Shipbuilding and Repair Management) course is an advantage.
