JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other equivalent degree/experience

· Strong python scripting skill and C++ programming background

· Good written and verbal communication skills in Chinese is a bonus ( Required to liaise with Tawiwan colleagues)

· Able to work well both independently as well as in a team

Responsibilities:

• Develop/update hull material, architectural outfitting specifications and weight and centre gravity (W&CG) study.

• Coordinate/execute contract specification requirements and production inputs into engineering drawing/document.

• Prepare bill of material, review and selection of materials.

• Provide progress reporting and schedule management of engineering deliverables.

• Perform site visits to rectify engineering issues, determine existing conditions or verify new construction.

• Coordinate work and integration with other engineering disciplines, production, QA/QC and clients.

• Meet with vendors, client reps, accreditation representatives when required.

• Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years working experience in a marine/offshore industry either with shipyards or marine equipment manufacturers.

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or Marine Engineering.

• Ability to understand and perform structural analysis of the hull and structures, knowledge of Intergraph-SmartMarine 3D Software will be advantageous.

• Familiar with Marine & Offshore rules, regulations and requirements.

• Knowledge of Primavera or Primavera 6 software will be an advantage.

• Lead, motivate, and oversee the Project and Maintenance Team to achieve project objectives.
• Manage overall project planning, cost control, and execution.
• Conduct site inspections prior to the commencement of work.
• Oversee project tendering processes and documentation.
• Prepare and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Interpret detailed drawings, construction plans, and fabrication methods.
• Develop and adhere to annual budgets, including maintenance expenses.
• Coordinate and manage multiple project schedules and budgets simultaneously.
• Collaborate with designers, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high-quality standards.
• Ensure all plans and documents are approved by landlords and local authorities before work begins.
• Supervise daily site progress, resolving coordination issues with contractors, vendors, and building facility management.
• Attend regular site meetings and conduct inspections.
• Provide status updates and take corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.
• Monitor contractor and vendor performance through regular inspections and quality checks.
• Ensure on-site work complies with local authority regulations and safety standards.
• Enforce site safety procedures and manage workplace risks.
• Verify and audit the quality of completed contractor and vendor work.
• Conduct progressive snagging and defect clearance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the Operations Team to ensure timely handover of projects.
• Manage post-construction issues with the Operations Team, consultants, contractors, vendors, and relevant authorities to ensure timely rectifications.
• Assist in developing and managing strategic plans and program initiatives to align with the company’s goals.

Job Requirement:

• NTC / Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, process engineering or related disciplines
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in the food industrial sector, (e.g. foodcourt and coffeeshop project and reinstatement works)
• Proven record in managing and leading a Project/Maintenance Team.
• Possess Class 3 Driving License
• Good interpersonal skills with the attributes of a team player and a keen eye for details
• Motivated and results-oriented
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
