Roles & Responsibilities:
As a Horticulturist, you will be responsible mainly include matter related to Landscape Operations (including horticultural maintenance of trees, shrubs, turf and landscape sites under the purview of our Main Contractor and other authorities (National Parks Board and other relevant authorities/ agencies). Additionally, he/she will be one of the key personnel involved in the generation of creative and innovative landscape solutions and support.
· Attend site visits and tender show round. Oversee and coordinate landscaping works within the sites
tasked. Site inspections are required to conduct horticulture audits on observation and recommendations
· Prepare ASBUILT photo report for trees and shrubs and coordinate with designer for ASBUILT drawings
· Prepare landscape proposals, maintenance schedules, and regular site reports on the sites that are tasked
(Furnish report to completion with photo attachments). This is to generate innovative landscape solutions to
improve the overall outcome of the work site
· Prepare purchase orders for various types of plants
· Handle emails/correspondences
· Plan and attend regular meetings with clients for projects
· Provide professional advice on the selection, ordering, planting and maintenance of trees, shrubs,
groundcovers and turf grasses.
· Attend to feedback and complaints concerning horticultural matters.
· Ensure horticultural contract specifications meet satisfaction.
· Prepare horticulture and management reports.
· Adhere to Safety procedures, protocol and guideline
- Work closely with the operations manager in the planning of resources (workers / equipment etc.)
· Assist in the preparation of pests and diseases control
· Programmes
· Provide directions / guidance to gardeners on performance expectations and manage landscape challenges
· Facilitate in the onboarding of new gardeners at the work site
- Any other duties assign by Project Manager
Note: The company will arrange successful candidates for the necessary landscaping courses when project requires.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Horticulture / Landscaping
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Positive and independent individual with good interpersonal and organisation skills
- Excellent team player, proactive and can work independently
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Competent in writing reports
- Valid class 3 driving licence should be an added advantage
Please note that the working time will be extended upon site needed or depending on the site situation.
Working Hours and Office Location:
- 5.5-day work week (Monday to Friday : 8am to 5pm) and ( Saturday : 8am to 12pm)
