Responsibilities

You will be reporting to the Team lead, Character Leadership and Development. You will design, deliver and refine curriculum (often as pilot versions), manage the outsourcing to partner organisations of curriculum delivery and thereafter monitor quality, and conduct research of international quality in the domain of character and leadership development (CLD) to ensure that both coaches and organisational leaders in sport have access to quality development programmes.

You may also work with SportsG Colleagues from Human Capital (Learning & Development) and ActiveSG Training Centre to design and deliver relevant leadership development programmes for SportSG staff.

In this role, you will,

• Design, deliver, manage, evaluate and review existing/new Character and Leadership Development curriculum that CoachSG/Singapore Sport Institute will offer. 

• Conduct research and innovation in relevant fields or support your HOD in the department's research projects.

• Mentor interns, coaches or leaders that are attached to the academy and guide them in their research, coaching or leadership practise in CLD.

• Collaborate with CoachSG colleagues from the Coaching Development team to ensure an integrated approach to coach development

The incumbent will:

The Organisation Development and Planning Division (ODP) is responsible for driving long-term organisational effectiveness in MAS. Drawing from various disciplines and fields, ODP comprises dynamic individuals with competencies across culture and leadership development, change management and internal communications, behavioural sciences and corporate planning. You will be part of a team that carries out both organisational development (OD) and corporate planning work.

In this role, you will:

• Have a systems-level perspective of areas in which the organisation needs to transform to be highly effective in today’s context. Key focus areas will be leadership practices and behaviours, and organisational culture.

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the MAS Board, Appeal and Corporate Planning portfolios:

• Board secretariat:  Lead on, inter alia, organising the quarterly Board meetings, handling the appointments of Board members, and reviewing board governance policies and processes, such as code of conduct, remuneration and conflict of interest matters.

• AAP secretariat:  On appeals, any person aggrieved by an administrative decision by the MAS can appeal to the Minister-in-charge of MAS. This role will support MAS in the preparations for the repeal of the regulatory regime for the registered fund management companies (RFMCs). With the repeal, over 200 RFMCs will have to apply for a licence in order to continue operating. RFMCs that meet criteria will be approved to become licensed fund management companies.

• Assist in monitoring the status of licence applications by RFMCs.  

• Assist in checking that licence applications submitted by RFMCs are complete, and in the review of the applications.

• Support the logistics for industry and internal briefings on the repeal.

• Assist in checking and updating published materials that provide guidance on the repeal and the transitional arrangements for RFMCs.

• Assist in maintaining and updating internal records on RFMCs.

• Perform any other task needed to support MAS’ preparations for the repeal of the RFMC regime.

[What we are looking for]

• Prior working experience in the fund management industry would be an advantage. 

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
