ABOUT THE ROLE
As KFC Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for bringing the regional strategic
direction of our retail & brand marketing activities to life in Malaysia & Singapore. This programme of work includes but is not limited to, menu & pricing strategy, media &
brand strategies & the development of an omni-channel retail calendar, all designed to
achieve the company’s growth, revenue & profit targets for your market.
This position will be based in Singapore and would require you to travel to supported
markets as relevant.

The job functions of this role includes but is not limited to:
- Oversee, guide & support the execution of the regional Asia strategy in a way that provides the best growth potential in Malaysia & Singapore
- Lead marketing for the market, across brand and retail, in partnership with the franchisee.
- Work cross-functionally with Commercial Planning, Operations, Food Innovation and Development teams to land the annual brand plan.
Brand
- Lead Malaysia & Singapore’s annual strategic planning process & partner with the market in its development & execution of the plan.
- Partner with Asia regional team to bring the global KFC Brand Positioning to life in your markets.
Retail Strategy:
- Core Menu management: Partner with markets on the menu & pricing strategy
- that will deliver short & long term growth for the business.
- Calendar management: Work with markets to develop & execute a tested rolling 12-month marketing promotional calendar to deliver business targets
- Direct and approve retail advertising and sales promotion activities, menu-board design and point of sale merchandising that meet KFC objectives & guidelines
- Partner with e-Commerce team to provide an omni-channel retail calendar & customer experience.
Market Relationship
- Act as a primary interface with franchisees on marketing opportunities and challenges
- Facilitate sharing of best practices and success from other KFC markets that may be reapplied in markets
- Develop a positive team culture as a true people coach that embraces a people first culture.
- Build the capability of franchisee marketing teams in each market
This is a key role with high business impact and visibility requiring depth and breadth
of marketing skills and senior stakeholder management capabilities.
BRING YOUR BEST SELF… with your top-notch qualifications
- Tertiary level education in Marketing or similar
- Minimum 8 years of marketing experience from quick service restaurants (QSR), fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or consulting industry
- Ability to work with people at all levels and influence people from diverse cultural backgrounds
- High level of maturity and credibility which will enable the incumbent to influence the franchise partners and the local marketing teams
- A track record of both strategic planning and influencing teams to deliver executional excellence
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- A high work ethic and sense of urgency

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for South Asia, this is an individual contributor role who will work closely with a great support network and growth enablers:
- Asia Marketing team
- Internal functions (e.g. Commercial Planning, Restaurant Operations, Food Innovation team, Development etc.)
- Franchise owners & respective Marketing Teams in the markets
- Marketing agencies and direct marketing suppliers
- Global Marketing Leadership Team
