Job Description:
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in data center infrastructure, network hardware, and communications systems implementation and maintenance.
Knowledge of data center environments, including PDUs, RPPs, SANs, and network infrastructures.
Understanding of complex inter-networked environments, such as Ethernet, TwinAx (100GigE, 25GigE, 10Gig, 100M etc) token ring, and WAN technologies (OC-x, DS-x).
Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, and WAN technologies.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve system and network-related issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with vendors, team members, and stakeholders.
Experience in managing or coordinating technical infrastructure projects is an advantage.
While not required, familiarity with the Financial Services industry is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Hardware & Network Installations: Perform installation, de-installation, relocation, and testing of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, encryptors) and systems within the data center. Ensure that all installations meet the required service-level standards.
Carrier Circuit Management: Install, relocate, and test carrier circuits to ensure network connectivity across various hardware.
Cabling & Infrastructure Management: Manage the installation, relocation, and testing of patch cabling for systems and network hardware, maintaining organized and effective cabling practices.
Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with facilities, electrical, and communications vendors to facilitate the installation of infrastructure elements such as power circuits, cabinets, and network components.
Network & SAN Infrastructure Support: Assist in coordinating the installation and management of network configurations and SAN cabling, ensuring that performance and reliability standards are met.
Consumables Management: Oversee the management of critical consumables (cables, labels, rail kits, etc.) to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
Work-Life Balance: This role will be 12Hour Rotating shift from Thursday to Sunday. 3days off to rest/ recharge.
