Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end closing, financial reporting, and performance analysis across multiple hotels.
• Manage fixed assets in NetSuite, including maintaining the asset register, asset tagging, and asset disposal.
• Supervise and review the daily operations of the finance team, including cash collections, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.
• Lead the monthly stocktake process for the hotel.
• Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances on a monthly basis.
• Oversee cash flows and cash positions, providing guidance on fund transfers when necessary.
• Prepare monthly cash flow projections and assist with annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Conduct rigorous budget monitoring and analyze variances between budgeted and actual performance for each business unit.
• Prepare grant submissions for approval, as required.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and effective monitoring.
• Collaborate in the design, implementation, and review of finance systems, processes, and policies to drive continuous improvement and keep practices up to date.
• Assist with the implementation of new accounting systems and processes, as required.
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties, including auditors (prepare documents and address queries), tax agents, banks (for account management), corporate secretarial agents, and local tax and government authorities.
• Ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing regulations, GST matters, audits, procedures, and forms.
• Review or provide guidance on finance administrative work prepared by subordinates (e.g., bank documents, corporate secretarial documents).
• Ensure adherence to established financial standards and procedures as set by the hotel and in alignment with the Uniform System of Accounts for Hotels.
• Handle ad hoc assignments as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with supervisory skills, preferably in the hotel industry.
• Strong familiarity with hotel industry practices.
• Proven experience in leading a small team.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
• Familiarity with the Opera Cloud system is an advantage.
• Good understanding of intercompany transactions.
• Ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
