Responsibilities

You will be part of the team which handles research grant-related financial matters for the Institute. Your responsibilities will include:

• Administer research grants and projects.
• Payment processing of vendors’ invoices to ensure purchases are in accordance with rules and regulations of funding agencies.
• Payment processing of transport and general staff claims.
• Responding timely to enquiries pertaining to research grant financial matters.
• Assisting in the design, implementation and review of financial processes, policies and guidelines for continuous improvements, through streamlining and automation.
• Handling ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A Polytechnic Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent.
• 2 or 3 years of working experience in accounting.
• Organized and meticulous in handling numbers and data.
• An effective team player with a positive working attitude and is willing to learn and adapt, with problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational and communication skills, ability to prioritise, plan and multi-task and deliver assignments to adhere to timelines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel pivot tables and formulas.
• Experience in SAP would be an added advantage.

The Fund Accounting Manager is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees, leading a variety of fund valuation activities in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of activities associated with Net Asset Valuations (NAVs).

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) as well as support mechanism for achievement including SMART goal setting
• Calculate daily and periodic NAVs for fund and dissemination of the associated unit prices to facilitate investor dealing in accordance with all local regulations, accepted accounting values, and local tax requirements, as well as produce full set of audited annual financial accounts and unaudited semiannual accounts for each regulated entity

Job Description:

The mission of the Function Controller comprises 3 roles:

⮚ The main job scope of the Function Controller is to monitor and improve the operating costs of the relevant Functions Activities in Singapore, and to provide decision support to Management. This includes the production of regular financial and management accounts, budgets and forecasts, in close coordination with Business/Function Controllers in Europe. 

⮚ Finance Transformation: The Function Controller will drive projects related to digitalization and optimization of processes in Finance

⮚ Support to Heads of Integrated Functions ( HR, Legal, Finance, Procurement...) based in Singapore to get an overview of relevant financial KPI across APAC 

Primary responsibilities :

• Supervising Integrated Functions’ expenses across the APAC region and assisting Heads of Functions in obtaining a comprehensive view of their costs.

• Responsible for computing regional business cases for cross-country improvement initiatives, and providing actionable scenarios and way forward, 

• Build a strong customer relationship with Functions managers, providing lean and applicable information,

Primary Function of Position:

• Assist in the implementation of a property risk management program which identifies major property risks including occupational health and safety, fire safety and essential services and environmental.
• Ensure critical operations and sites are identified across the sites.
• Establish HSSE plan for the account on site.
• Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity planning is implemented and maintained across the sites.
• Implement and ensure escalation procedures are in place and observed for incident and problem reporting.
• Have good knowledge of statutory legislations and requirements
• Managing work orders using a CMMS and analysing maintenance data;
• To conduct commercial negotiations with service partners and suppliers and to ensure the sub-contractors’ contracts administration for the FM projects are established;
• Develop annual Capex and Opex budgets
• Develop initiatives and strategies that lead to cost savings and service improvement
• Analyse financial data and contract model to generate savings for the account
• Review monthly financial reports including the preparation of accruals and variance.
• Prepare monthly management report.
• Assist in the budgeting and Recommit process including reviews with Key Account Manager
• To enhance relationship with service partners and suppliers for the delivery of FM projects and businesses;
• Evaluate the vendor procurement and ensure renegotiation and tendering, including tender documentation; evaluation of tenders and preparation of contracts is in accordance with agreed client procurement guidelines.
• To support site operations including covering duties within the team where necessary;
• Actively encourage an environment that supports teamwork, cooperation & performance excellence across account. Act as manager and a coach for the team ensuring high staff morale, trust, and work ethics. Develop a staff development program to ensure staff career progression;

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Facilities Management, Estate Management, Building or relevant related discipline from a recognised tertiary institute;
• At least 3 years of relevant experiences as a manager in facilities management in a corporate setting;
• Able to lead independently the team of Facilities Management and properties at site with minimum supervision;
• Excellent client management skills in a corporate environment and a strong team player;
• Proactive and independent;
• Dynamic and multi-tasking capabilities;
• Familiar with CMMS for work order management;
• Fire Safety Manager Certificate.

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to do:

• Market Analysis: conduct thorough market research to understand the target country's demographics, cultural nuances, and consumer behavior based on the Sales/ BD teams strategy

• Localization and Adaptation: tailor marketing messages, content, and creative elements to align with local preferences, language, and cultural sensitivities

• Channel Selection: identify and leverage effective marketing channels and platforms that are widely used and trusted within Singapore (online and offline)

• Execution: plan and execute local campaigns (both online and offline) to support the local Sales and BD team to reach their relevant customers & support the sales process

• Community work: build and maintain a relationship personally and as Teleport with our local customer community (largely B2B space) in the transport/ logistics/ air freight space

• Data-Driven Optimization: implement robust data analytics to measure campaign performance, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and make informed, data-driven decisions

• Compliance : ensure compliance with local marketing regulations and standards. Provide customer support in the local language and time zone

• Alignment: build a strong relationship with our central marketing team based in KL to leverage the strategic elements, brand guidelines and resources available to support you in your work

SKILLS
