We're on the hunt for a driven and passionate intern to help shape the future of healthcare technology. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in designing, developing, and testing innovative biomedical solutions.

We are looking for an intern who can commit for at least 5 months, and can begin in Jun/Jul 2025.

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop novel biomedical capabilities for existing healthcare products

- Prototype and test new biomedical features

- Source and integrate new components into product designs

- Collaborate with our product design team to streamline development, prototyping, and testing

- Create technical documentation for new products and conduct relevant research

- Test and refine full-stack systems, including front-end and back-end database solutions

Requirements:

- Undergoing/has obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Learning Outcomes:

- Design and development of biomedical devices and systems

- Prototyping and testing of new biomedical capabilities

Responsibilities:

• Perform refractions and operate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment (training provided).
• Prescribe glasses and contact lenses.
• Conduct clinical evaluations and assist doctors during consultations.
• Manage administrative tasks, including pre/post-op and financial counseling.
• Handle front counter duties: patient registration, dispensing medicine, payments, and appointments.
• Educate patients on eye care and optical aids.
• Maintain equipment and patient records.

Job requirements:

• Fully Registered (Full-Reg) with the Singapore Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB) preferred
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Diploma/ Degree in Optometry
• Proficiency in multiple languages will be advantage
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
