SFC is seeking a highly motivated and eager-to-learn intern to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in finance and accounting in a collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities:
As a Finance Intern, you will support various tasks within the Finance Department, including:
Accounts Receivable Support:
- Assist in the billing process, including the issuance of invoices to customers.
- Help track and manage customer payments throughout the billing cycle.
- Assist with the reconciliation of invoices and incoming cash received.
- Support in managing cheque payments, including filing and documentation.
Accounts Payable Support:
- Assist in processing supplier invoices, including checking and verifying documents.
- Help prepare payments to suppliers and stakeholders for goods and services rendered.
Other Finance Tasks:
- Support bank reconciliation activities.
- Assist in month-end closing processes.
- Communicate with vendors and clients via email, phone, or in-person as needed.
- Perform filing and administrative tasks related to accounts receivable and payable processes.
- Help with internal control reviews, implementation, and execution.
- Assist in fact-checking and resolving discrepancies.
Prerequisites:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in accounting, finance, business studies, or related field. (Fresh graduates are welcome!)
- Strong attention to detail and a diligent work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Highly motivated and driven to produce results and meet deadlines.
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of Xero and Power BI is a plus.
