JOB SUMMARY
· Prepare drink orders (beer, wine, cocktail, liquor, mocktail) for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems.
· Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles.
· Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools.
· Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks.
· Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
· Transport supplies to bar set-up area. Wash soiled glassware.
· Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables and place in designated area.
· Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs. Process all payment methods.
· Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
· Complete closing duties, secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas including daily perpetual inventory.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Greet and seat guests as per SOP.
2. Handle all guests’ enquiries and follow up accordingly.
3. Handle and manage all reservations ensuring information is recorded correctly and followed up accordingly.
4. Responsible for guests’ check control.
5. Monitor the needs and special requirements of regular guests.
6. Ensure all mis-en-place are done properly and timely.
7. Speak with others using clear and professional language.
8. To prepare, serving cocktails and be responsible along with Café manager for general other alcoholic beverage revenue meeting the budgeted target.
9. To work closely with Assistant/Restaurant Manager to develop & follow up on plans and actions of all areas on a quarterly basis.
10. To assist in planning for marketing calendar based on beverage centric promotion and execute based on timely manner along with café manager.
11. To be a dynamic personnel and own sense of pride on every beverage program achievement.
12. To suggest periodic staff training for café manager for the team to have better understanding on how to do the upselling on daily service.
13. To be able to analyse monthly sales, profit & loss statements and forecast. To be responsible for control of departments’ Controllables in relation to sales revenue together with Assistant/Restaurant Manager
14. To check every shift Guest Voice – analyse, improve, communicate, and take action.
15. To be fully responsible for outlet’s requisitions and C-7s.
16. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time – including service and guests engagement and ensure for delivering high quality service based on the guest feedback/survey.
17. To conduct and perform beverage / alcoholic daily perpetual inventory.
18. To be ahead and in line with the trend in inventing and promoting new beverage promotions.
19. To achieve daily goal and target which set by Café manager.
20. Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
21. Taking orders by following outlet specific Sequence of Service and applying upselling techniques.
22. Processing orders in the outlets’ POS system, following the standard procedure.
23. Have a good knowledge and understanding of outlet’s food and beverage menus.
24. Cash/Bank Handling
· Process all payment methods in accordance with Accounting procedures and policies.
· Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures (e.g., blind drops).
· Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
· Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies, obtaining change required for expected business level, and keeping bank secure at all times.
· Transport bank to/from assigned workstation, following security procedures.
· Set up and organize cashier workstation with designated supplies, forms, and resource materials; and maintain cleanliness of workstation at all times.
· To ensure and follow established procedures and compliance as per LSOP guidelines.
25. Check cleanliness of restaurant area and ensure sufficient stock of condiments at all times
26. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
27. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
28. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
29. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
30. To ensure and follow established procedures and compliance as per LSOP guidelines.
31. Any duties as assigned from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, any field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented.
- Positive outlook and outgoing personality.
- Able to start work within short notice.
