• Address and provide counsel on specific instances of WSH non-compliance and unsafe work practices
• Alert team members of emergency situations and potential escalation of incidents and accidents
• Carry out initiatives to support WSH programmes
• Collect data on WSH performance, conditions and practices
• Conduct emergency response drills
• Conduct routine checks on work activities of other departments
• Conduct safety inductions and orientations
• Follow Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP) when responding to emergency situations
• Follow Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policy and procedures
• Follow investigation protocols to collect data and report findings
• Identify WSH non-compliance, unsafe work conditions and practices
• Participate in WSH compliance inspections
• Support WSH incident and accident investigations
• Support implementation of actions to improve WSH performance and control risks

skills & experience required

• Bachelor Degree / Diploma in EHS / M&E / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Min 5 years in LTA / MRT projects
• Good knowledge in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental regulations
• Project management experience will be a plus
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
• Possess Minimum Advance Certificate in WSH (Level B)
• Possess Work at Height Assessor / Managing WAH / First Aider / Confined Space Assessor course
• Able to commit to night shift work if there is a need to
• Able to commence immediately or within a short notice period will be a plus

Duties of a Recovery Nurse

Recovery nurses provide critical care to patients before and after surgery. Recovery nurses treat a wide range of patients. They clean wounds, administer medication and monitor the progress of the patients' conditions

Before Surgery

• Work with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical nurses to prepare patients for surgery.
• To record vital signs, instruct patients on the details of the procedures and administer intravenous therapy and medication.
• Help doctors transfer patients to the operating room, and may be asked to clean wounds, sterilize equipment and make sure patients' rooms are ready for their arrival.
• To communicate with loved ones and inform them of patients' conditions.

After Surgery

After surgery, recovery nurses are patients' primary care givers.

• Monitor their vital signs, clean bandages and comfort patients when they wake up from anesthesia.
• Administer tests, analyze lab results and report back to surgeons and doctors.
• Track the progress of patients' conditions, and ensure patients receive adequate rest, food, fluids and nutrients.
• Teach patients how to clean their bandages, take medication and care for themselves after they leave the hospital
