General Area of Responsibility
· Assist Senior Manager in all Vessel & Terminal Operations & related procurements maters in Far East ports (excluding Oceania).
· Assist Senior Manager to in the event of vessel’s accidents/emergency cases.
Specific Areas of Responsibility
- Manage Terminal Operations
~Maintain good relations with Terminal operators
~Monitor & ensures performances by Terminals
~Monitor & follow up on rebates and commitments by MSC with respective Terminals.
- Operations related Procurements
~Assist MSC HQ with Terminal contracts negotiations.
~Review & approve various local contracts with vendors.
· Accidents/Emergency
~Assist MSC HQ to coordinate with agents, authorities, repair workshop, Insurance and various parties.
Other General Duties
· Assist MSC HQ’s Chartering Dept on various chartering related matters.
Eg: On/Off hire arrangements.
· Assist MSC HQ’s Energy Efficiency Dept on various related matters.
Eg: Show power supply arrangements.
· Assist MSC HQ’s Legal/Claims Dept on various operational related matters.
· Prepare & submit various reports to MSC Geneva.
Candidate Requirement
· Degree/Diploma holder, preferably in Maritime Transportation or Nautical Studies.
· Minimum 5 years working experience in container shipping industry.
· Independent and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
· Able to work long hours, on weekends and public holidays when required.
· Good interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
· Working knowledge of CASP is essential but not necessary.
· Believe in team-driven culture.
· The ability to speak various languages is also welcome.
