Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
· Prepare/oversee and review monthly financial statements for the entities within the group.
· Conduct analytical reviews of financial statements to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for
improvement.
Month-End and Year-End Close
· Manage the monthly and year-end close processes for all entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
· Reconcile accounts and prepare adjusting entries as necessary.
· Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with prevailing company policies, Singapore Companies Act and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International).
Tax Compliance
· Oversee quarterly Goods and Services Tax (GST) filings and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
· Coordinate annual corporate tax filings
· Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and implement necessary changes.
Cash Flow Management
· Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
· Monitor cash balances and manage intercompany fund transfers.
· Optimise working capital by managing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Accounts Receivable
· Supervise the Accounts Receivable process, ensuring timely update of receipts in CMS and
accounting system.
· Review accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
· Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.
Accounts Payable
· Oversee the Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely and accurate recording of liabilities and payments to vendors.
· Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud and errors.
· Negotiate payment terms with suppliers to optimise cash flow.
Budgeting and Forecasting
· Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
· Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
· Support strategic planning initiatives with financial analysis and projections.
Compliance and Internal Controls
· Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
· Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
· Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices.
Team Management
· Supervise and mentor two Accounts Executives, providing guidance and training as needed.
· Conduct performance evaluations and set development goals for team members.
· Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Ad-Hoc Analysis and Projects
· Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making.
· Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· Chartered Accountant or equivalent certification is an advantage.
· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance and/or accounting roles.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
