Job Description:
-Provide a range of Consultant Quantity Surveying duties from project inception through to completion
-Preparation of pre-contract cost estimates, cost plans, budgetary study and project cash-flow
-Measurement (taking off quantities) for all structural and architectural elements
-Preparation of tender and contract documentation
-Tendering process and tender evaluation
-Post-contract administration and management such as valuation of progress payment, review of variation request order, variation assessment, financial review reports

The Banquet Coordinator is responsible for all Banquet administration duties and to ensure proper filing and records of the department. He/She needs to work and co-ordinate closely with personals from Events Sales, Kitchen, Stewarding, Housekeeping, Security, Engineering, Concierge, Outlets and all in house staff including organizers and guests.

What will I be doing?

As the Banquet Coordinator, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Handle telephone enquiries according to Hilton standards.
• Attend Banquet Event Order (BEO) and Events Sales meetings and to communicate and disseminate all relevant information to banquet staff.
• Ensure adequate casual labours according to operation needs and to assign staff to respective functions based on preset staffing guides.
• Brief Banquet management or supervisors of any last-minute changes in the BEO.
• Fully understand and ensure staff adhere to the hotel’s grooming standards.
• Supervise and coach casual labour ensuring good attendance and punctuality.
• Involve and assist casual labour training.
• Assist the Director of Banquet and Banquet Manager/s in controlling the labor cost i.e. not exceeding the staffing guidelines and to ensure maximum productivity.
• Control par stock and the availability of all operating supplies including office supplies.
• Ensure good housekeeping and cleanliness of banquet office.
• Update and maintain staff notice board.
• Prepare and distribute daily events sheet and BEO for every staff and functions.
• Track proper record of all staff including the casual staff according to the hotel and legal requirements.
• Assist at arranging transportation for outside catering for kitchen, banquet and stewarding
• Administration of payroll procedures to ensure proper timekeeping and payment of all banquet staff.
• To ensure strict adherence to casual labor payment procedure.
• To take the role of a Banquet Captain when required by volume of business.
• Respond properly and professionally in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• Understand relevant OH&S legislations and the implications on the operation of the department.
• Ensure that safe and healthy working practices are observed throughout service.
• Report any accidents / incidents to the Supervisor / Manager.
• Ensure that the Food & Beverage mission is established and instilled in you and all team members.

• Study each recipe and gather all the necessary ingredients

• Cook food in a timely manner

• Delegate tasks to kitchen staff

• Inform wait staff about daily specials

• Ensure appealing plate presentation

• Supervise Cooks and assist as needed

• Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)

• Monitor food stock and place orders

• Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Provide Nursing Care Services

• Dispense prescription medications to students as per parents or doctors’ instructions / medical directives.
• Provide basic first aid for minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes and bruises, and stabilising severely ill or injured students until parents, guardians or emergency services arrive;
• Ensure a clear and smooth communication with the families and the team members.
• Complete relevant nursing documentation.
• Maintain and restock First Aid Kits

Manage School Wellness Program

• Educate students on hygiene and safety practices.
• Collect and analyse statistics using our record.
• Organise meetings with the School Principal to follow-up on healthcare needs.
• Participate and moderate educational team meetings to better assist special needs children, and liaise with the Special Needs support team of practitioners.
• Participate in the organisation of protocols to deal with major emergencies occurring in the school.
• Communicate with the canteen service to come up with balanced, healthy meals adapted to the children and follow-up weekly.
• Conduct student hearing and vision screenings.
• Verify vaccination records.

Daily Routine Duties

• Communicate and coordinate with the school cleaners and classroom assistants to ensure that they are adequately equipped and informed on hygiene and safety practices.
• Record student absences, communicate with families in case of a child’s absence, finding out the reasons, thus getting a better visibility of the potential diseases in the school.

If while carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must report any concerns to the School Principal so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third-party services.

Job Competencies

• Standard clinical skills to dispense medications and treat minor ailments and injuries
• Adequate math skills to ensure proper dosage amounts when dispensing medications

• Liaise with parents, guardians, and other external parties like Special Needs healthcare practitioners, ambulance paramedics, enrichment activities providers etc.

Required Qualifications and Desired Attributes

• Must have completed a minimum of 1,000 hours of clinical experience or three years of academic experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a school nurse is preferred; experience with young children will be considered a plus.
• Fluency in English, bilingual in French and English is preferred, but not a must.
