Requirements

• Full membership with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) would be advantageous.
• Deep understanding of established psychological theories and current research on child and youth mental health and development.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

About the Job

We are seeking an accomplished Accounting Manager to oversee and support our EMEA financial operations. This role involves planning, coordinating, and ensuring the accurate and timely completion of monthly and quarterly closings for the EMEA books of accounts.

Main Responsibilities

• EMEA Financial Accounting Oversight: Take responsibility for EMEA Financial Accounting and oversee General Ledger (GL) Accounting with support of the BPO provider – Infosys in Poland and India.
• Collaboration with Offshored Service Providers for certain Accounting Functions: Partner with offshored accounting functions in India and Poland, and KPMG in EMEA for the preparation of Financial Statements for all Evident EMEA entities and managing the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payables business process.
• Balance Sheet Analysis and Compliance: Perform Balance Sheet analysis, reporting, filing, and compliance work, and liaise with auditors and external authorities in EMEA.
• Financial Controlling: Conduct regular BS reviews and end-to-end financial reporting process analysis.
• Record to Close Process Management: Manage the overall Record to Close Process and integration of outsourced operations for Fixed Assets, Cash/Cash Pool Accounting, IC-Accounting, and Currency Accounting.
• Closing Work Supervision: Review, validate, and oversee the execution of closing work, ensuring the BPOs meet agreed closing deadlines.
• Vendor Management: Maintain close proximity to the BPO vendor to ensure high standards of accuracy in recording entries, complete accounts reconciliations, and consistent accounting treatment from the BPO service center.
• Lead accounting projects for EMEA region, such as OneStream software implementation and M&A projects.
• Maintain an accounting close calendar of all European subsidiaries and branches, and close the books on time, and prepare the reporting packages to report to Corporate Japan monthly/quarterly.
• Business partnering with Sales and Operations teams to support their business needs for management reporting.
• Overseeing EMEA subsidiaries and branches accounting and work closely with the BPO and KPMG accounting teams to close the books of the subsidiaries/branches and prepare the required audit schedules to support efficient annual audits with the external auditors.
• Provide all necessary analysis and reports for local management reporting, and local statutory financial statements.
• Plan and liaise with external auditors and support the execution of local statutory audits and corporate audits
• Know and ensure that IFRS standards and internal policies are appropriately applied.

Core Competencies

• Well versed in preparing IFRS statutory financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Statement of Profit or Loss, Statement of Equity, Statement of Cash Flows and the Notes to the Accounts. Some local GAAP adjustments might be required depending on the country in Europe.
• Technical Skills: Robust and practical experience in IFRS, local GAAP, closing, and consolidation. Proficiency in SAP is mandatory.
• Language Skills: Good written and oral command of the English & German (highly preferred).
• Problem-Solving: Ability to efficiently solve problems by utilizing quality communication skills and an international mindset.
• Professionalism: Ability to maintain an optimistic, professional, and credible attitude under stress.
