Position Overview:
We are actively seeking a qualified & detail-oriented Project BIM Modeler (Hybrid) to join our esteemed team for a significant project with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore. As the Project BIM Modeler (Hybrid), you will play a crucial role in creating & managing detailed 3D models to support the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes.
Responsibilities:
1. BIM Modeling:
· Develop & maintain accurate 3D BIM models using Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM software.
· Ensure the integration of all project information into the BIM models, adhering to project specifications & standards, including ISO 19650.
· Update & revise BIM models as required to reflect changes in project design or construction requirements.
2. Model Coordination:
· Assist in clash detection & resolution, ensuring that the models are free from conflicts.
· Work closely with design, construction & project teams to incorporate their inputs into the BIM models.
3. BIM Data Management:
· Organize and manage BIM data within a Common Data Environment (CDE) such as BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
· Support the documentation process by extracting 2D drawings & schedules from the BIM models.
4. Collaborative Communication:
· Communicate effectively with project personnel, including both BIM team & Project team, to gather information & clarify modeling requirements.
· Participate in BIM coordination meetings to discuss & resolve modeling issues (if required).
5. Quality Assurance:
· Ensure the quality and accuracy of BIM models by conducting regular reviews and adhering to BIM standards, ISO 19650 guidelines & project specifications.
· Implement quality control processes to maintain the integrity of the models throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Requirements:
1. Education &Experience:
· Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
· Formally trained in BIM (Diploma or Training certification), with at least 1 year of BIM modeling experience in a design, engineering, or construction firm.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in BIM modeling with a focus on detailed model creation.
2. Technical Proficiency:
· Proficient in BIM software, including but not limited to Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
· Familiarity with clash detection tools & processes.
· Experience with 4D (time scheduling), 5D (cost estimation), and 6D (facility management) BIM dimensions.
· Proficient in using Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms such as BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
3. LTA Project Experience:
· Understanding of LTA project requirements & the specific demands of transportation infrastructure projects in Singapore is a plus.
4. Construction Experience:
· Experience working on construction sites is advantageous, with a good understanding of project dynamics & challenges.
5. Communication Skills:
· Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively convey BIM-related concepts to various project teams.
· Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration among diverse project teams.
6. Problem-Solving Abilities:
· Strong analytical & problem-solving skills to address modeling challenges effectively.
