Medtronic’s Tax Department consists of over 100 tax professionals and support personnel located in different locations in the United States (U.S) and six different locations outside the U.S. The Tax Department is broken down into seven major groups: Reporting & Tax Accounting, Compliance, M&A and Tax Planning, Audits & Controversy, Transfer Pricing and International Taxes. In this role, the Tax Accountant, Asia Pacific (APAC), will have responsibility over designated countries’ income tax compliance (managing an outsourced provider), audits, and tax planning. In addition, this person will have responsibility over selected APAC tax region projects as well as assist the Merger & Acquisition (M&A) Tax group with APAC M&A (and joint venture) deals, APAC acquisition integrations and divestitures. • Providing support to the wider Corporate Tax team on all internal quarterly tax reporting matters (e.g. FIN 48 positions, income tax rates, withholding tax rates, tax holiday checklist, tax audit log, thin capitalization review, evaluation of valuation allowances, etc.); including analyses for the APAC region;
• Support in the reviewing of all corporate income tax returns and payment requests for entities prepared either by local Controllers or external service providers;
• Providing support to the APAC Team on all income tax queries, income tax audits and relationships with local tax authorities;
• Monitoring changes in local tax legislation, rulings, regulations and litigation;
• Support the APAC team on requests by APAC business partners on technical tax considerations and applicability to MDT; and

Job Description

• Provide comprehensive support for in-house applications, ensuring smooth functionality and addressing user concerns.

Job Requirement:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in IT application support, with a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and strong technical proficiency.

• Support our CFO in managing FinOps & Treasury on market expansion strategies and executing licensing, partnerships and M&A opportunities
• Manage and mentor a team of treasury and FinOps professionals across jurisdictions, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.

• Streamline and optimise business process and operations, iIdentify and manage risks

You have:
